It's been a week since Harvey and the catastrophic events and flooding that happened began. I am wanting to send out thoughts and prayers to our brothers and sisters in the region's affected by it. Especially in HOU and HOB. They seem to have been the worst hit. I find it hard to believe that no one else has taken the time to give a shout out....it just shows the selfishness and all about me attitudes of the majority of posters to this thread. Should rename it the **** moan and complain about how bad it is to work here thread....I personally want to say if you live in the affected areas or know someone that has been...feel free to p.m. me or post it here and I will do what I can to help. I've already talked with my rvp..who is seeing what we can do as a region to help.

I donated money to red cross threw sams and they matched my donation. I figured it was a lot better than posting something on here that they wouldn't see anyways. :1036316054:

Well good for you.... You posted on social media and you asked someone else (your RVP) to do the work for you to help folks out? I'm impressed! You can sleep soundly tonight knowing you made a difference.

Yes....and it paid off...I got as many of the freight boxes to fill with donations which I hope to get at least10 filled over the weekend and free shipping to the affected areas which hopefully will be on the way Tuesday....and what have you done.....

I'm confused on why you came on here to call us out, but the only thing your doing is patting yourself on back.

One of my most favorite Bible passages.
 
Actions speak louder than words, and many are pitching in however they can for the relief effort. Talking about helping on here isn't the same as helping, and Hurricane Harvey relief efforts are a lot bigger than just the FedEx board. You give a shout out to affected FedEx employees who aren't in a position to read the board, with no consideration for the thousands of others who both need help and work somewhere else.

There may be a lot of **** and vinegar thrown around on this board, but at the end of the day everyone here would put their differences - with the company and each other - aside for something bigger than any of us. Just because we're not talking about it, doesn't mean we're not doing anything. Even Canadians are helping out however they can, because that's how we roll in the Great White North.

So take off, eh!
