XPO | Rumor Mill: It's going again!

Places that are serviced by a driver that doesn't go back to a terminal. The driver lives in an area , like Mayberry , North Carolina. So another driver from a nearby terminal delivers a trailer ( or set ) of freight to a drop location with the freight loaded for delivery. They take back the empties and then it's wash and repeat.

There's a lot of little details left out , but this is a rough outline.

P.S. - Usually the area that is a zone is remote. Too far from the parent terminal to make it a regular stop , and too small to justify another terminal.
So does this mean that the new sign in my barn that say we deliver 99% of all the zip codes is now a lie.

Another rumor! Has anyone heard this one? I don't understand it but it does reduce costs for now.

At my barn we have assigned pallet jacks. My jack works well except it needs a repair in the main axle. I requested the maintenance, now I hear pallet jack maintenance has been discontinued because it's to expensive. Within the rumor, no new purchases.

I cannot get an official answer to my question, just wondering if anyone else has heard.

Shocked we still have pallet jacks.

He's a company man. Been here since he started in college. Dockworker , FOS , account manager , auditor , FOM , TM. As far as I know , this is really the only company he's ever worked for.

But we have seen others with the same impressive pedigrees get dismissed after hitting a certain ceiling.

Our tm has the same resume. He's retiring early. And I mean early.

Anyone know any ex employees that are vested into The pension . One ex employee I know told me xpo sent him notice of a buyout for his pension. I can not verify this until he checks the letter again and gets back to me. Again I am not saying this is a fact until I see the letter. Can anyone verify this in the meantime.

I got a card from the Benefits Office to tell me to expect a package from them on a one time buy out offer the other day. I'm guessing that it will be a low ball offer , not worth taking. I don't know that but I can't help but think that.

So they are offering a buyout for ex employees? If that's the case do you think they'll try to do the same with current employees?

I received a card from the Benefits Office, It appears that I am going to have a choice on taking a lump sum payment or drawing a monthly payment . My former CO worker's have not received anything so far. This must be a new option ??? They probably won't offer to current employee's because there would be a mass Exodus!!! Lol
