XPO | Thanks XPO

Don't get your panties in a bunch just yet. That company Jacobson Logistics is the company Norbert bought. Then XPO buys Norbert. I also have to guestion the trailer number 841-7016. All our vans start with a 4 and we got 2 new ones this year and they and they start with 463.
So in short he is not a sub-contractor he's an XPO employee
Picture was taken on August 17. All someone has to do is run an equipment history.

Or you could just do your job as safely and efficiently as possible, and quit worrying about :::shit::: you have zero control over.

That goes without saying. I will however continue to stir the pot.

We have had new equipment that started with a 5 in the Central region over the last 5 or so years. We have also seen a tractor with a 332 prefix as well as some forklifts with a 3.
332 is a refurbished unit pre fix, you know the 60 grand mistake per truck Sterling's.
463 -563_ 663- 763 are 45 ft cans
441-541-641-741 are 53 ft cans and it is correct that 4 = ccx 5=cwx 6 CSE 7 case.

Our new tractors in the south are 532-XXXX over the last three years. The last 632 tractor I have seen at my barn was a 2013. We got a few 478- city Sterlings with the CCX orange frames sent our way a few years back but they have been sent to the boneyard.

Now they weren't they were sent to our barn.

Hmmmmm......... zone drivers sh¡t canned. New, Otr truck friendly pups. Hmmmmm.......got them gears and lube flowing in my brain housing group.
This has piqued my interest. Does any one else want to throw a lil more fuel to the flames?

Global warming and hurricanes are going to kill us ALL !

Don't know bros. Two year anniversary of buyout is just around the corner. We were told XPO would leave operations as is for two years. Big shake up on the horizon. Hold on to your marbles.

Still haven't seen the launch of the economy freight. Remember all the pushing they did about how economy freight is 75% of all LTL freight and so much more profitable ? You can call it a shake up. But really, we have all been told exactly what they are going to do. And so far they have done exactly as expected.

Having zero control over your life and livelihood can be unsettling to people with families counting on them and piles of bills to pay.

If you don't like the view then change where your standing.
If you have zero control of your life then you need to take a hard look at your life and find out why.
The only place were can control your livelihood is to have your own company

No, our good buddy North has it right. We should all just keep on riding the cattle car all the way to the end, like the Jews. When we arrive, make sure you take a big gulp of the purple drank they serve you. Like them people in Guyana. Our buddy seems to have a lot of inside baseball. He must be really plugged in, up there in Canadia.

If your not happy here, only you can change things. This company doesn't care how many miles, or years, or 70 hour weeks you have given to the company. We are all replaceable. I don't drink the kool aid, but I'm not unhappy about most of the company. They will continue on with their plan. If you think OD or one of the others in in a better situation, jump. With the experience most of us have, we should be hired on the spot.

As for being " dialed in", I have no inside information. All my info comes from my TM, or the communication power points we get. The lack of information sharing by some TM's, really pisses me off.

And so many have and so many more will. That's what we are talking about. The start of this thread is a guy getting the boot from his zone closing. Context much ?

This guy comes out with his zone gets killed and then we find it was other zones also and more long time employees are gone. But just keep your head down. It'll all be okay !

One thing I do remember is our first meeting last year, where we were told that XPO is not looking to grow the sub service side. I am seeing sub service increasing in my area. I see drivers leaving, new bodies that replace them are not staying for the long run. There has always been a shortage on equipment, whether it is power or trailers. Found it hilarious that they want us to pimp the ltl side of XPO's service, when we have not the drivers or equipment to support more business. We are constantly told that line haul is the biggest expense in the company. Some one has been brewing up a master plan, and I think I no likes.

It is all fun and games till it is your head on the chopping block. "Chop chop".
