Yellow | Full Pay after 30 days... is it true?

And plus Union ONE scale ??? that has never been true , 710 has always been the highest paid !

Not so, 710 had sweet heart deals in Charl. Central Motor Lines were members of 710
Drivers ran two 90 mi turns on straight milage, local 71 got 8hrs for first trip, mileage and time for second, big difference.
How this came about, I don't know.

It's a UNION, Wong. Should only be ONE scale, like it was for decades. Don't you wish well for your new brothers???????
If that's the case shouldn't ABF's new hires go right to full scale too? I'd be all for that even though I had a three year progression to top rate. To me the issue would be that if they have money to spend on new hires they should have some to spend on me too. And yes, I get pissed when others reap benefits and I get none.

The "POINT " is that the Veteran Driver's with 15 or 20 years , had to work from 2 to 3 years to get to Full Pay !!!:6788:

Not siding with anyone here,SAC. But at the terminal where I am, verbal harassment by employees, profanity, refusing work assignments angrily, and a hostile work environment, exists on a daily basis...And nothing is done about any of it. I know the trucking industry has always had a "rough edge"' to it,but this goes beyond that...
Sorry, BRG, I'll tone it down. Donna will too.
But I still think it's cute when she calls you her little red-headed step-child.....

This is the YRC forum, not the ABF forum

And you work for neither, how many times are you going to ride that merry go 'round?
I didn't bring up my pay. You did bring up yours, bright guy.

Your company, my company, and YRC all have different contracts with the IBT. This is the YRC forum, so it should be theirs. YRC and my employer go top that they pay on day 1. You and wong think they shouldn't. So who really is the 'outsider', here? My pension is vested, active, per CSPF, tied to YRC.

well nows a good time to sign up for the yrc boat if you know what the eeoc is.....just make sure you bring a nice recorder to work with you if you hear the racism i heard so you tell the talking heads about the problems that go on.....i tried to send a message and it seems nobody cares.....i can see a eeoc lawsuit in the future again if nobody cuts the crap out now.....ill just say "see" when chicago 2.0 happens

months ago the members who work at yrc at 104 the senior men that is took a vote and said no to equal pay for all new hires and to those in progression. It was at that moment I realized how awful this place was to work at. Now with the nearly 20% cut to the pension and the lack of full pension contributions from YRC the only thing I have left is my health insurance. This place is a waste land that NO ONE wants to come work at. Just look around at all the run down, wore out equipment you have to use daily. Not 1 member of the union has ever asked where have the hundreds of millions of dollars in 15% wages gone to. There should be no debt on the books at YRC and YRC should have new equipment throughout its terminal network but the union wont step up and ask for an audit or rock the boat when millions of due money rolls into the local coffers every month. It has been said that you use to have to wait years to get a job at YRC New Penn because they were such great places to work with excellent benefits and retirement and now you can walk in breath on a mirror and get hired. The end is coming and if you dont see it your narrow sighted. Get out while you can. Take your 401k and go somewhere that makes money like UPS Package.

I have my bunker stocked!

Not really. But at this point no one gives a ::shit::.
That's sad.
They finished what they started.
(yrc breaking the union or just flat out disregarding it)
It's broke. Never to be fixed again.

Why should guys listen to a driver that still works here that tells them to leave while they can? I paid my dues and had to work three years to get to scale and I do not wish that upon anyone. I say if the new guys can start at scale that is great for them! The money is not coming out of my pocket, I hope the best for everyone if you have been here two weeks or two decades. Good Luck Brothers! Maybe some guys should worry more about themselves and less about others?

Why should I do the same job your doing at 85% of the rate ? Why cant I show up get hired and be paid the rate I should ? Where is the logic in this ? And again, not 1 person here has said your right.. where has the millions if not billions of dollars in wage givebacks and lost pension contributions gone ? Why are we not getting new equipment ? I drive a lift that has nearly 30k hours on it and its only serviced when its broken and thats if they want to fix whats broken. Its September 17, we are inside 18 months of our contract being done and no one has come to any of us and said hey this is what we are going to bring up at the contract talks. Do you think now with less than 300k voting in the Teamsters election and with the upstate NY pension officially in the toilet, 707 pension is 100% insolvent as of 2/1/17, does anyone care ? As long as the senior men can start at their regular 7 or 8a start times and be done by 430 5 and keep the health insurance nothing else to them matters. Place is a septic tank. Wake up.. see that the lid on the tank is off and the odor you smell is the odor of no one caring.

Why haven't you left? I am not trying to be a smart ass...I am just curious. You can get insurance at all of the other companies, there must be more?

I work part time now. Plus I need the insurance to pay for my Humira on the 90 day plan which is $26,500 each time I get a 90 day refill. Other than that id be gone.

Sorry to hear that bud, I am guessing it sucks to need the drug! Good Luck!

I was on humira. Had to pay my major medical every year on that crap. Still breaks you.
Two shots a month.
Remicade before that.. 7500 a session. Infusion. They called it liquid gold at the center.
Insurance pays most. But the copay was 2 grand a year.
I've had over 200 grand of surgery and hospital stays over the last three years.
I'm broke from it. But if I didn't have insurance. Well. Right now at least I can recover. And get on with life.
So. We stay and put up with all this because of insurance.

The point is that it used to be whatever full scale was after your probation period. I don't know how long you have been doing this but I'm guessing that you were involved in the voting of the progressive pay scale.I never thought it was fair when the pay cuts were voted on. The Chicago locals voted it down every time. So they tear up the "white paper" contracts and all the votes were counted together,we all know the outcome of that. Most of the people that felt they were wronged have either moved on or just deal with it. Constantly bitching about something you can't control is going to age you well before your time.

I have no dog in this fight and I'm not asking as a smarta $$ or trying to offend but with u guys giving back 15% of your pay, a messed up pension and what is mildly entertaining /disturbing for the rest of us who read the board to hear the yrc drama of the day. Are your health benefits really free? What I mean is for argument sake take $1,000 a week and give back 15% obviously $150. I have to assume at top pay guys are taking home double that which means giving back twice as much. Why do you put up with it when you can get 401k matches with company profit sharing on top of a 5% match, health insurance for $50-85 a week and lose the doom/gloom environment. From the outside it sounds like you guys have the most expensive benefits in the business and put up with the most b.s. I get not wanting to give up seniority that you have rightfully earned, but with what other carriers pay you to walk in the door these days... the money can't be that far off and the peace of mind is priceless
