Things are not so rosy at the marble palace at 25 LA Ave. NE 20001. Nothing new but Hoffa does not care about what is best for the rank and file.

Hoffa Removes Sean O'Brien as Package Director

After 70 percent of UPS and UPS Freight Teamsters voted for Teamsters United in the International Union election, Hoffa knew that he needed a new front man at the Package Division and he tapped O’Brien for the job.

In his short tenure, O’Brien took initial steps toward a more aggressive posture toward the company.

He publicly announced on the UPS Rising website and Facebook page that Fred Zuckerman should be on the National Negotiating Committee. Hoffa ordered that O’Brien’s words to be removed.

I think Young Jimmy is stirring up a hornet's nest. If I was a UPS/ UPS Freight guy, I would be looking to possibly the NLRB for guidance and misrepresentation charges..........

People under collective bargaining agreements have the right to be represented in contract talks by the negotiator of their choice.

If Mr. O'Brien was too controversial for Mr. Hoffa that he had to be removed,.....what does that say about the remaining heads of the various divisions?

That is the way Hoffa rolls. We know that he can't claim that O'Brien is tarnished by the allegations or the situation, they are right up Hoffa's alley.

I haven't read too much pleasant about O'Brien's replacement, Dennis Taylor. He apparently was a package car driver at some point so he apparently understands the ins and outs at UPS package. Time will tell I guess.
