Trailer says
Get up tractor, nap time's over.

I heard Mack used seabreeze's face to model the hood ornament....:17142:

Yeah, I'll take credit for that.
They were going to use a cat, but couldn't find room for a litter box
I don,t like to admit this, but I was once told by a gal, if she had a dog that looked like me, she
would shave his fanny and make him walk backwards!

Lots of Rapid Change Seen for Trucking, Truck Making

"One aspect of electric that will help work out the cost aspect is that “electric vehicles are more friendly to components.”

Transmissions could move from the traditional location right behind the engine, and would only need two to four speeds.

“You get a far broader power band with an electric motor than with a diesel engine,” Craig said. Accessories operated by belt drives off the engine “would be going away.”

He also said there would be less need for brakes, therefore they would last longer and chassis could be completely reconfigured."

I can see this now! backup drop cords from L A to NYC, who thinks this will ever work?
Only be able to scale 1500lbs because of heavy drop cords.

I love how they're pushing this idea so hard with no plans for actually making it work. Electric cars have notoriously short ranges, and electric trucks aren't going to be any better.

Of course, the long haul stuff will all be put on the electrified railway anyway. Has anyone considered how they're going to generate all of this electricity?

Not to mention manufacture & disposal of all these batteries...

I heard they were going to have Big Dave wave his hat at the wind farms to help speed up wind velocity on days when the wind is calm so the turbines will put out top voltage.
