I talked with a friend of mine who's still there, and I did remember it correctly. A sick day breaks your tour count. Chicago, regardless of what's in the contract, just kinda does what it wants. And the stewards never seem to get much done.
 
Yeah, those 14 hour days are killers........Come home late, have the wife stick a soda straw in the beer can,.....spoon-feed you the Dinty Moore Beef Stew TV dinner..........turn the tube on and zonk out before the first commercial....Damn! Never find out who won Dancing With The Stars........

Get up in 7 hours,.....pour your black coffee over the Cocoa Krispies to save time,........change clothes,....do it again.

Well-said, canary! As we all know, what you wrote is all too familiar.
 
We have been busy. They are loading lots of contract carriers and running them direct. In the contract they should be running to the closest break. this is in the southern conference . Panther is getting a lot of ABF freight. they haul it cheaper and they put more money in their pocket.ARC BEST Fort smith.. they are spending money on the non union companies and not replacing road drivers when they retire at ABF. The red circle is getting smaller each day. I work at ABF and run the system as a road driver.

K.C. Has 20 more road drivers than it did 3 years ago. They run out of drivers. Each terminal is different. It’s different at each terminal I suppose.
 
This is at my barn in the south. I still believe or would like to know if system wide,, do we have less people or more. Contract carriers are hauling a lot of freight alone with panther.

I think if we get ABFer to take a few dance lessons, he may be interested if you waived S&H chgs.
You may need to keep an eye on Von, he has been known to sell counterfeit items on Ebay.
