What has OD done to help the people of Florida? I saw that they posted a service disruption notice and that's about all they have done for Texas. I'm a little upset a company of this size sits back while all the carriers we've almost put out of business rolled up their sleeves to help the public out.

being in florida , I have not actually witnessed anything OD has done for anybody outside the terminal.Other than communication with the terminal employees I do not think any assistance was given or requested for or by our people. But i am just one person in one terminal.

Asking Employees to give by payroll deduction.That's great.But,what are they doing for the employee's and the community's that have been impacted ???

I did do my part today.I hope everyone gives something to help our co worker's who lost everything.They are doing a 2 week deduction from paycheck in Oct.

I'm disappointed in this place. We didn't provide transportation in relief supplies like many other trucking companies gladly did for free. These people in Florida and Texas are fellow Americans but OD will only take their freight and give nothing in return when needed for help. We've fallen into the corporate greed category.

Before you bash the company, you should do some research and find out if in fact the company has helped. A friend of mine that works out of Houston told me we contributed a substantial amount to each individual OD employee that had a loss from the storm. I haven't talked to any of those personally but my guess is this is a fact. I will see if I can get some details and will let you know. If anyone is on from Houston let us know what is going on. I know OD stepped up and helped the folks in New Orleans after Katrina as well as some that had damage from tornadoes that went thru Alabama and Missouri a couple years ago. The people that were helped know it. I'd personally rather the company help people that are in need vs bragging about what they did..
OD is helping with donations from employees. I haven't heard anything about them helping at all, but they are quite proud to have a Instagram account now. What kind of filters can we use to show the freight we seriously mangle in transit?

Yep! I did see on facebook where the company had donated a pretty substantial amount not only to our employees but also to the Red Cross... Guess it is easier for some to continue to bitch and moan than to ever give credit for anything.
You're dealing with the one and only Billy. I'm sort of curious how much he personally donated. Oops. I didn't wait for the company, I was donating the next day. But some shade tree dwellers don't have anything to do but complain.
