In my humble opinion I would say that many of the workers in LO are not happy with the COO. I am guessing most of you know that they are giving some of the area to the far south to NA and some of the southeast area to LE. Well I don't think this is sitting very well. I have actually been there several times in the last three weeks and let me tell you, if you were going to write a book or make a movie called "how to work as slow as possible and accomplish nothing" this would be the place to get your material. They have taken doing nothing to a whole new level, almost a new skill set! To give you an idea, I came in from the motel at my start time and proceeded to get paid three and three quarter hours, when I saw the fella driving accross the lot with my passenger door swinging in the wind when he stopped to back under the trailer I walked over to chat with him. He explained that the load was a relay load from DE to AT and had come in that morning, so it had been sitting against the fence about a hundred feet from my tractor and I got paid about 85 bucks to sit there until one of the yard guys decided to put himself out and hook it. Now just when you didn't thing this story could get better, a couple nights ago a buddy of mine was in there and they had a whole bunch of loads for CI and IN. These loads were all just freight going everywhere just thrown into a trailer. It is almost like they are just pulling freight off wagons filling up other trailers and sending them off to be broke elsewhere. That last part is just our opinions you would have to hear from a LO driver to get the details but my buddy took a load that the billsack was marked for CI up to MI and he said it had freight for many different terminals including some freight that was actually going to LO. What a nightmare, I really respect LO for their strong union attitude, they probably stick together and stand for what is right more than any other terminal we have, I am guessing Fred has a lot to do with that, but I am worried they are going to cut their own throats. I hope I am wrong but over at YRC they have dealt with this situation at terminals of their own in the past and they can play hard ball also, like I said I hope I am wrong but I fear that their will be difficult times ahead for our brothers at the LO terminal. Wow, yeah heard they been having some severe problems down there , but yrcw has created this whole problem by the -15% pay cut & losing weeks vac time & broke pension and now slap in face to senior guys ,with giving full pay to new guys and nothing to senior guys !
 
I know that the rest of us had to pay our dues though the pay progression process, and as a veteran, I'd probably be pissed about the green horns get full pay so quickly.
Those are automatic yes votes, and the company knows it.

Don't you think that makes the guys with less than three years at the other 38 terminals an automatic NO vote then? I know the newer guys at my barn are just wild, we are worried that someone is going to talk smart about their big raise and someone is going to knock them out and get fired.

I think you mean the guys with more than three years, and I would say yes, they are likely to be pissed and vote no, but that's also why the company wants to hurry and get rid of the veterans.

If I were the newer guys that get this raise, I wouldn't be pouring salt in the veteran's wounds.
 
yrcw is setting the stage for 2019 with this split pay scale , by only giving pay raise's at some barns and not others and none to the senior driver's that had to work 2 or 3 yrs to get to full pay and then give back -15% , it's called divide up the union members and they are doing it very successfully and all these new sheep at full pay will be voting yes ..........................................
 
I went through the three year progression when I started and it doesn't make me mad at all. The only thing that I am mad about is that they did not make it across the board. Maybe I think different than others but I believe all new hires at all terminals should be treated equally. I don't care if that is 100 or 85 or 70 percent but they should all be treated equally. I still also think that the easy YES votes are the senior guys that are over 60 years old that need one more contract to retire. I believe they are usually the ones talking about sheep and the new guys being the easy yes votes when they are actually the ones that are voting YES. I don't think I need to remind any of you that the last vote that passed none of these so called easy YES sheep voters even worked here! Let that sink in for a moment.
 
At least Louisville will stand up some maybe time for the senior guys to do a work slow down at ALL barns system wide and let these NEW FULL PAY Driver's after 30 days , step up to the plate and take over ??
 
Backlogged and They are not doing any I.B. freight or O.B. freight this week , hey here's a brainstorm idea RAISE THE PAY so people will apply !!
 
there are a million Louisville rumors floating around this week, does anyone have any real facts? Anybody on here that was actually there the other day when Scott Ware was there? I was at the motel that day but did not get a chance to talk to anybody that was actually there and heard him talk.
