Our tm is offering to send "4 or so" drivers down to that terminal from "de", we were told that louisville has alot of freight and they need help getting it delivered...

theyre offering mileage pay to get there (54cpm)and then however many hours you work plus a free motel room..

There was a rumor a bunch of their drivers quit and went to ups but thats just 3rd hand info.

Here's a clue ,RAISE THE PAY !! DUH or shutter down and they are taking NO freight this week I.B. or O.B.

They pay more for you to drive your car than they do to move freight.....hello

This is "second hand" I heard miss Donna, of Hat Dispatch LLC is overwheled processing applications.
She is accepting applications for a "Hey Boy"

Might have to offer cdl training classes.
We are training people how to drive forklifts.Thet definitely need to raise casual pay also.

Embargo on Freight Inbound to Louisville Service Center
We are issuing an embargo of freight inbound to our Louisville, KY service center. Due to extreme high volume and a backlog of freight, we are not able to provide our normal Holland service levels in this area. Our operations are working to reduce this backlog. We anticipate this embargo to be short-term. We will keep you posted as our service levels return to normal.

Outbound shipments are being picked up by the Louisville, KY service center and are moving normally through our operations.

This is the being of the end for Holland , seen the exact same events happen at other companies that are history now to , there is no way we can keep running much longer with the cluster confused way we have been operating lately !

Amazon offers free shipping on its orders...are they being charged for the deliveries to the service centers...I bet so, but beat down rates and "ship 3, get one free"? any thoughts? I hate the crap of of this freight...

Are there any LO drivers here that can tell us what's going on? Sure are a lot of rumors and not a lot of facts. I've got to believe
most terminals are being run with a Holland style level of incompetence, given our ability to attract such quality supervision and management, but are some being run with an even greater attention to detail? New hires topping out trailers, 1-2 day suspensions, New hire being told to put on his seat belt, telling the supervisor "you ain't my dad you can't tell me what to do" > Granted I'm not in LO, but is this a system wide plan by Grand Rapids or Overland Park, to sink us slowly or is this the face of the new Holland? I'm at Hollands clown college campus in MI, and it sounds like we're in a race to see which terminal can be mismanaged into the ground the fastest.
But back to LO. Someone please get us the facts. To those that voted with their feet, good luck, fair winds and following seas, To those who stayed, good luck, and we're all watching and wishing you the best in a bad situation.

Now tell the truth Scott ware

Pay your people

Heard they all left for UPS....package is only seasonal to start but its $32/hr. Plus they added 100 doors to the big air hub down there so alot of those seasonals will get on fulltime......thats a no-brainer to me. Yrc/Holland is just getting priced out labor wise.....and if they ever cut the overtime...look out...a real MASS EXODUS!

When the company gets desperate they start to pay more. That was just proved at 14 terminals, if everyone stuck together like LO eventually the company would have to give in and pay more. But when you have bad BA's like in MI who make poor decisions instead of sticking together with everyone else it just kills any bargaining power we have. They think they help the new guys by getting them higher starting wages when in fact they hurt ten times as many people by doing it. That being said, and I know a lot of people are not going to like this comment, but there are many workers in LO that do as little work as possible just to put in there time and get paid. I have been there many times recently and I have paid real close attention to what is going on and there is a lot of ****ing off. They might say it is justified and that might be the case but there are a whole bunch of guys there doing a whole lot of nothing!

So if Holland started paying everyone about 28 dollars an hour, would that fix the rumored problems in Louisville????
