hey driver, how is your system (linehaul) works out of Chicago?, laydown' s layovers, on road all week?, or u go from point A to point B back to point A, do u have a seniority board? do u get paid detention, breakdowns, please explain

Just plan on being system driver ( leave on Monday / return on Saturday ), if you get lucky you might get regular run?
Runs are bid by seniority, yes we get breakdown, long layover, and waiting time pay. ( Give up the first hour for free )

Chicago is a terminal like no other. We are supposed to have like a dozen system drivers but usually they can never keep more than four or five on the system board because the turnover is so large. If you're system here you'll either run lay down or you'll cover for people on vacation. But yes expect to leave Monday and get back Friday Saturday. Breakdowns get delay pay after the first hour, waiting at a terminal gets you delay pay 30 minutes after your cut time or scheduled arrival time. All in all, you can make some good money here in the north as a system driver because the terminals are so spread out and like I said before, Chicago can't keep drivers to save their lives. A word of warning though, there's a pretty good reason why they can't keep drivers up here. The management is very much less than awesome...
