Heard we were closing Oswego. Anyone else heard this?

Yes. Oswego is closing, I think at the end of this month. Then they're gonna open one up in markham to replace it.
For us road drivers Markham will be better in my opinion. Oswego was never easy to get to. Markham seems more on a main road. I feel bad for the people that it makes their comute worse.
I guess this i why they quit on Joliet , found a used terminal that is more cost effective.

Are they going into the old Jevic terminal in markham, just north of I-80 by the cash box at 294? At Kedzie ave.
WOW I was in Chicago this week what a difference! The yard was empty it was so nice to not be on top of every one there. The down fall was it took 14 hours to get out. Markham was nice to big yard even bigger dock. Weird office two trailers.

I heard through the grapevine that Markham is only going to be a temporary lease as in 2-3 years as the plans in Joliet are underway, permits are approved, zoning etc., and they should be breaking ground soon.
Apparently the location is right near the Amazon warehouse off of 80 and route 30 and is located on a forty acre plot of land.

I just read a report that the Joliet project was approved 5-0. 66.4 acres huh? Pretty impressive.
yeah...learned about the GR move today! Show up at OLD location....uh...for sale/lease?!?!?!! Call central and type in term number....ok instead of exit 75 off of 131 it's 79 and RIGHT NEXT to 131! haha actually looks like a new building, smells new too...unless some Marines came in and cleaned it. Now Joilet yard isn't all that bad....staying here tonight...funny how I use to pick up all the time across from 171 next to the fed ex term on joilet rd. Yeah...place is tight....but we'll see how it is when I leave tonight! ahha

Any news on this terminal? Heard it's supposed to be super massive.
Has there been any update about this terminal opening? To me it seems weird that no one really knows what's going to happen or when it's going to happen. As a Markham driver it'd be nice to know what my future is going to look like in the coming months. All anyone seems to have is opinions and rumors they've heard throughout the system.
