Yellow | YRCW Board Member Picked By Teamsters Gets "Christmas Bonus"!

Yes it’s called equal sacrifice. Ask around and see how management got all there vacation time back . Plus if there’s days off fall on any holiday they get an extra day at there disposal. Every one knows about how Mr. Welch and the Mr. Pierson and now Mrs. fisher have been compensated. It’s been all but equal sacrifice.

Board Members get compensated at every corporation but the question here is should someone appointed by the Teamsters to observe what’s going on at that level to ensure the corporation is upholding what it agreed to with the Union be compensated by that corporation ? Remember he’s not there to make operational decisions he’s there on the Unions behalf. Wouldn’t we all feel better about it if his compensation came from the Union ?

He is not there on the Union's behalf. He was recommended by the Union to be appointed to the board. He is acting the same as any other board member in providing oversight as to the operation of the corporation. He has a legal (fiduciary) duty to the owners (shareholders) of he company not the Union. Please educate yourself as to the legal requirements for any board member of any corporation.

Point.
We have to stop acting like this is a normal company.
It's not.
One of the men who was laid off yesterday made a point that summed the company up in a way I never thought of and is true. (he was laid off on his first year anniversary)
He is a very well educated man. Already retired from one company and not even 50 years old yet. He has been around the world and has seen things that have required what he spoke of. (Iraq. Nuff said)
He said to me that yrc needs to provide medical and phyciatric help for people leaving the company going into the normal world because this place is not normal.
I could use different wording but I'm trying to be polite.

This environment we work in and the way management and the company deal with it is a accident waiting to happen. Does anyone else see it or is it just me?

What's not normal is (supposedly) grown men whining and moaning about minuscule issues pertaining to the company. How many years now has that been going on? That's where some psychiatric help is needed IMHO. Some need to get a grip.

I’m not going to get into a back and fourth with a self proclaimed scholar of all things like yourself on this. it doesn’t require an education every knows when the MOU was proposed Hoffa sold this as the Union gets to pick a member to the BOD who would be there for our best interest. Yes he has to meet certain requirements to hold the position, my post was in relation to the appearance of it not the duties of a BOD member. Have a nice day.

Typical of you.....you would let them take everything away and still be a cheerleader for them as they get the last dollar from your wallet.....SMH

Typical of you to exaggerate and inaccurately state my position on issues just because I may disagree with your views. By the way, I still get a paycheck from YRCF, do you? Didn't you shoot down opinions from people who no longer work for YRCF? Just curious.

I don't at all pretend to be a scholar, but I do attempt to do some research on topics before I post about them. That seems to disturb some people I guess. So be it. I like to see accurate information posted, not some made up stuff.

As do I, and I tend to agree with a number of your posted opinions. My post was my opinion not fact your entitled to disagree but having a different opinion doesn’t mean someone is stupid and subject to your insults.

I don't see where I insulted you in any way, I just corrected your posts regarding the obligations and responsibilities of board members. That's not opinion, it's fact and I suggested you educate yourself as to the accuracy of that. That's not an insult. Everyone is entitled to their opinions, but not entitled to their own facts. If you took anything I said as an insult then I apologize for giving you that impression. That was not my intent.

Thank you Trip I appreciate it. sometimes these posts like emails do not reflect the personality of how they are intended.
I just took “ go educate yourself as meaning I was stupid in general. I also apologize if I misunderstood and took it to far perhaps I should have just PMed you on it.

Eraser manufacturers aren't going out of business any time soon. I think many of us need to "erase" things we say/post at one time or another when our intent is misconstrued/misunderstood because we don't phrase our comments well.

I don't use erasers, they smudge my screen to bad. I use white out it looks better. When I get done it looks like a heavily redacted Hillary Clinton email. But wait............it is not my fault.

And they didn't even take out -15% of it ?? Beings we picked him he should have to give back -15% of it to have so called save yrcw too , right ?? and so here again this is why the sheep get poorer !

I retired from YRC.....but I get that check each month from CSPF from the money YRC put in, so I guess indirectly they still pay me $2,800 a month to stay home.....can't beat that!

Let's say his compensation was 2 x NMFA wages? $40hr*40hours*52 weeks=$83,200. Would that be acceptable? It is almost the same number. I would rather he get paid in stock so he performs better.
