Holland | How many of you still have?

I still have the Technic 1200 turntable. Great turntable but hard to get replacement needle cartridges
Yeah, I feel your pain, I have a Dual turntable and I still remember it takes and Empire E III cartridge but I don't know if I'll be able to find one. Fleabay is good for old stuff like that.

I still have at least one of the blue "milestone" coffee cups here in circulation. It's been washed so many times that all of the writing is worn off so I couldn't tell you what it used to say.

The sterlings were like caddy’s back then. I had one of those little pop truck International single axles at that time and I looked at the sterlings with envy... by the time I got one it was so beat up I had to use strips of sheet Metal and self tappers to hold the panels of the dashboard together and that was a 23 series.

I know. Everytime I see a Sterling hooked up to 546 trailer or any blue and orange stripe trailer it brings me back to the good old days. You just have to look past the Dents & Dings. The old Holland look is fading out fast.

The new look is all the same between Yellow and Holland now.. won’t be hard to re-letter either..

I drove plenty on the 395’s and 297’ so the old look with lots of rust still permeated for those combos..

Just two more things that your kids are going to have to throw into the dumpster when you pass.

Had a guy once tell me, you should enjoy your toys while you are still here, when we're gone our kids have no
problem with the dumpster, Ebay or yard sales.

When I was about 12 or 14 yrs old I would have given up my seat on the bus for that sign.
I thought Roadway was bigger and better than the U S Government.
Roadway drivers had more respect than a senator.

In 1981 I was working as a casual at P.I.E and Roadway Express. P.I.E stopped calling me and a month latter the Teamsters Union told Roadway ABQ. they had to put on two casuals. The casual Roadway should of put on had gone on a vacation and told Roadway he wouldn't be available for work. So Roadway put me on full time. I retired 28 years latter. Best company I ever worked for.

My dad had a shop and mantained leased trucks for a lot of the different companies.
One guy had 6 big green Autocars that I thought was the "cats meow", always knew I was going to drive a truck
thought it would be for Big R, Johnson Motor Lines or Akers, thats where the prestige was in Charlotte
I hung around listening to truck drivers tales, thought that was for me,I learned very early anything a driver told was gospel.
All very truthful, no BS flowed from a truckers mouth.
With inside help I got on with RTL and did my 35yrs, that was the best job I had, but it was my only one.
Stayed in Charl made a lot of good friends that have gone on now , I'm running on borrowed time myself.

I told PIE to stop calling you, cause I didn't think you owned a pair of hand trucks at that time.

Do you sometimes still hear the rhythmic beat of the two wheeler as it bounced off the front of your pumpkin? I hear some old fellas can't sleep properly without a steering wheel for a pillow.

Sometimes the rhythmic beat of the two wheeler would reminded me of the song Philadelphia Freedom, and dancing the Bump.

My partner wants to sell this jacket, Jamie gave him,on e-bay. Never been worn. Tag still on it. Big Dave tried it on, but it was too small. Donna tried it on also, but could not zip it up. Too tight in the chest area....
I can see long black hairs on it. Longer than Donna's...did Jamie wear it without taking the tag off????!!
