I believe the Jersey/New York ports are still unable to accommodate these larger vessels I also doubt the road network could handle the extra traffic.

Beats me why people don't understand, when we need more overhead bridge clearance, we just dig the channel deeper.

But, if you’re putting freight on the dock, it’s gotta come from somewhere. Aren’t you emptying trailers?

I hook 3-4 empty sets each day. Maybe relay should dispatch them to you.

City trailers. We already unloaded and loaded drops. Can't load city trailers. Inbound needs something.
Send some empties!
They say it's gonna be worse tomorrow night.
Go figure.

Here’s how I continue to move forward. Load everything you got to get O/B done. If you have no empties after that, doesn’t matter. Dock is clean, all is good! Strip until dock is full, load empty’s, make runs with what you’ve stripped, go home, sleep well.

Hint: work on a one sided dock for a couple years.

No, I’m serious. One side only, no cross dock possible. Get those creative juices flowing!

I don't load anymore.
Just unload. Last to stack. Uplift. (bid lift) And it never gets that far down for me to stack.
Management problem. I do what I'm supposed to do. And no more. They just shove everything they don't have a trailer for to one end and add to it tomorrow.
I don't know what the problem is except we have no empties. I don't want to know any more than that nowadays.
Eight and out the gate.
And I do sleep well.
