I just got into a slipseat with one of these C12 junkers, it's got some kind of problem that happens when you hit the governer. Basically when you hit max speed it cuts the horsepower until you lose about 3-4 mph and then I can feel the horsepower kick back in, then back up it goes to the governer and the cycle continues.

That C12 also has 2 turbos, but I think they put them both to sleep.

I know a driver who has one.He said a smurf truck pulls better.:hysterical: and faster:duh:
 
freightshakers with MB engines

I drove a freightliner truck with a mercedes engine. I think its a MBE 400. I looked at the manuals in the cab. It has a Mercedes engine that was built by Detriot Diesel ( part of Mercedes Benz ). The truck runs like a champ especially climbing hills.
 
new volvo engines are great need more

I drive one out of GBO and had no problem with pulls good and runs great on flat land
