FedEx Freight | Mandatory meeting 11/16

I honestly didn’t keep track during the meeting. KCY will lose 6 I think total. Two can follow, 1 to FSM and one to GLD, nobody forced to follow. Mainly rerouting but moving all DAL type runs to triples.

Basically the same way we run our FAR - KCY meets, which is my current bid. Three doubles from DAL will meet 2 KCY triples in Billings, OK. (2 FAR meets 3 KCY in that lane).

The former route was DAL meeting KCY on the MKO yard. The KCY half was a lot of 2 lane driving with lots of small towns and turns and stop lights and signs, now all Kansas Turnpike and interstate 35.

Please other KCY drivers fill in what I missed.

The KCY guys ALWAYS bring triples?

I believe that's the plan. When the weather gets bad though they will go back to doubles and send another driver to cover the triples loss. This is exactly what they do for the Fargo meet (my current bid), which is setup exactly the same way. There are other places that do the same.

Two Fargo drivers down with triples, two KCY drivers meet them. (Sequence 1 and 2) Then there is a turn guy (me in this case). When I get there I split mine apart and they are the heavy trailers for Sequence 1 and 2. Snap them together and I get the rear trailers (one from each FAR driver) and head back home.

We use everything we bring to the meet and don't leave anything behind.
