It is here my fellow truckers,Teslas electric Semi with a 500 mile range

First wondering what this costs?
However I think in fuel savings alone it could be affordable over time.
Also the claim of no jackknifing may be a lower insurance payment.

The other thought I have is in a crash there is no fuel to catch on fire.

Now one of the drawbacks I thought of,when there is a wreck on an interstate in the winter, often times the highways close.
Will there be an auxiliary heater to keep warm,or does the truck have to keep running?

A chunk MORE than a Diesel burner. Just the Trailer cost would probably buy a few sleeper units.

If it's Electric, What Fuel Costs?
"Claimed to be No Jackknifing". Musk ain't a trucker right? ANY Combo can Jackknife given correct circumstances and with the current as well up and coming NUTTERS driving Trucks, such "Claim" will be challenged.

Dry Batteries probably don't vent. If there is a fire and it gets near Wet Style Batteries, KA-BOOM.

Since it's a Electric Truck, H.V.A.C. would not present a problem.

Remember the Freightliner Argosy?
The one with the step that electrically swung out?
The truck that caught fire in the Cab and/or Sleeper because of faulty Fusees/Fuses?
It went off line quicker than the Edsel.

Everything Mechanical Breaks Down.
CHEERS!!

The Argosy was supposed to bring back cab overs to the American road. I don't know how it would do in Europe where there is still a large cab over presence.

I heard it will have an autonomous fireplace built in,with firewood stored under the bunk....

Now that we have gone really far off topic, here is my 2 cents on the current discussion.
New York the state where I live has so many laws it is all most impossible to be a law abiding citizen.
Here is one of their many stupid fire wood laws, that states it is illegal to haul fire wood over 50 miles from where it is cut.

What can you do to stop the spread of invasive pests on firewood? Tell your friends not to move firewood, especially when camping, hunting, biking, or hiking. Ideally, your firewood should be from only a few miles away, or at least in the same county. More broadly, if your firewood dealer is getting wood from up to 50 miles away, that is still considered “OK.”

More NON logic!!

Price of the new Musk Truck, $180,000.00, so For A Few Dollars More than a new Peterbilt, someone can get the newest design in Trucking with the shortest distance achievable between "Chargings".
Wail-mart and J.B.Hunt have secured (a unknown amount of) units at $20,000.00 per unit down payments.

Claiming these units are Jackknife-Proof will be challenged in Wet, and Wintry conditions.

What is the TOP Speed? How LONG can it be Maintained?

Does this thing mean"Nikola One"is no longer available?
I was ready to place my order.

Better still post signs, "No invasive insects allowed in this firewood", problem solved, "makes sense to me"
