XPO | CON Region

The closer you are to the freight , the better off you are.
For those that don't know what that means:

- If you have a job that needs to be explained so that it's understood what you actually do , you may be in trouble.

- If someone has to ask what it is you do all day , you may be in trouble.

- If you can't believe how well you get paid to do your job compared to what the competition makes , you may be in trouble.

-If your boss just got walked out , you may be in trouble.

- If you have a company car , you may be in trouble.

Finally , if you believe everything that upper management says , if you think everything is awesome and couldn't be better , you may be in trouble.

Rumor is that several TMs in the xin region were let go yesterday. Some of them had many, many years.

I know a little something about the XIN region. Yes it's true the Indy TM either quit or was shown the door, I also heard that the XCO, Columbus, OH SCM is gone. The former regional manager for XIN under Conway was Dean Powers, he's gone and so is his muscle bound, duchebag boss whose name I cannot remember, he's gone as well. I don't know about the status of his replacement.

TM in XCO is still hanging on. He is here night and day. The numbers ain't good and the rumors have been fierce. It's really sad. Because he is a great guy. Not looking forward to him leaving at all.

Right now it takes a true effort for a driver to get fired

This place is turning into a millennials dream. Sit on your hands and do nothing and say nothing for fear that anything you say or do could offend someone or hurt their feelings. Speaking up about how someone is doing poorly or heaven forbid, actually is doing something wrong, and you are the one that gets yelled at for picking on them and not minding your own business. And not just on the dock, these children are making their way up the ranks of management too. It's absolutely amazing what a different world it is that we are living in today.

XIN TM let go a couple weeks ago.
XCM TM let go last month.
Indy RM let go Monday....about 6 months too late.
DP left the company but his musclebound boss (I like that) left as soon as XPO bought the company. He's at YRC.
Need any more info? I've got a buy one-get one reading with the psychic network this morning! :nightmare:

Lot of good people trying to run these terminals on shoestring budgets and unrealistic goals are either quitting or being fired . The sad thing is the people replacing them find themselves in the same boat. Regional big shots secretly admitting thing are of the charts crazy around here.

Had a dock departure at xcv this week (open trailer pulled from door, forklift hit the ground). There is speculation that the driver that pulled it may get fired. Would never be a question years ago. One and done.
Very dangerous situation and everything that can be done to assure that it doesn’t happen must be taken. Now firing someone as the only response does not ( once and your done ) do anything to prevent it from happening. All training and physical restraints must be put in place to eliminate the possibility. Con- way relied on the fear factor alone of losing your job as a sole preventative. I have not seen a case of where someone intentionally drove a forklift of a dock.

Not hanging on any more. Just woke up and my phone is full of texts. Heading into my 5th TM.
