XPO | Holiday parties

Not at all close to correct. When you assume....

This is something that is missing. A party outside of work , with drinks. This allowed for bonding , trust , and friendship. Hard to duplicate that in today's workplace.
Yes free drinks sure, right. I can tell you what will happen some a-hole will drink to much get in his car and drive home, get in a wreck and sue XPO. Welcome to age of lets sue everybody.

Who’s barn is holding A Holiday party this year ?
I heard there is a super big bash being held for the top brass no expense withheld.

2 different worlds now no more us just them.
Go team !
Whole crap you sound like the kid that didn't get picked to play crying like a 2 year old. Damm get over it. The fact of the matter is most people would rather have more money in there check that any of these things, X-mas parties, weekend breakfast meetings, free food, and so on. There are people at work I like and some I wont **** on if they were on fire. I can say for a fact that after working 50 to 70 hours a week the last thing I would want to do is spend it at a work party. I have better thing to do and family I would rather see.

At my barn we throw a Pot Luck party at the barn durning the day which means LH hardly see any of it. Last year we had some drivers bitch about what food was there and they didn't bring any food to the party at all. So I have to agree with the statement Serene Gene made. I say screw the company paid party and give me more money in my check.

Only 16 years here. Still not a senior driver at this barn. I remember a few Christmas parties with Con-way. Most were easily forgotten. Same old guys bitchin' about the same old things but doing while drunk. Good times indeed. I seem to remember Con-Way cut back on parties before they ran the company into the ground. I will have my parties with family and friends and will not expect my employer to treat me like a long lost friend. There is no tooth fairy, the Easter bunny has no eggs and Christmas is for children. Be happy with having a good job this holiday season and quit worrying about what you don't have. Merry Christmas.

Why would you want to go to a company party? I assume it would be a bunch of bitter guys complaining about every little decision the company makes and how it negatively affects them.

And a bunch of the " in " crowd trying to get people fired or paint people in a bad light and tugging at management, hey look how this guy acts. We had a good rash of these monsters costing people their jobs and then all the sudden they are crying about how they can't get any money for the party because no one wants to come.

We’re you invited to the Teamsters Christmas party? If not, does that mean they don’t value you? Are you just a body to them?
I’m not employed by the Teamsters so I won’t be going to any employee party if their having one for their staff.
I can ask the local president if their having a party if you want to know?

I’d love to know. I’d also like to know if they’re inviting the members since the big wigs are getting rich on their backs. It only seems right to have them over for milk and cookies.
Funny how they will bitch about XPO exec's having a party on our hard work but won't say a thing when the union big wigs do the same thing. What a double standard.

I’m sorry but who even said anyone from the union was having a holiday party let alone a big one ?
I talked to our business agent from our local and they do nothing because it’s the members money and there not entitled to use it that way . The four business agents and the local president do ( from their on pockets) chip in and buy the 2 office secretary’s a gift each.

Hardly , again I think your way off the mark of how a union is operated. I know that it doesn’t fit the narrative your painting but I can speak for our local and it’s not what goes on there.
Our local is very well funded and memberships continues to grow . I have been attending monthly meetings for nearly a year now and everything is out in the open with the funding for all to see.

You're worried about OTHER people painting narratives ?
