Yellow | Eld

I've seen em and they have to start using them. They have to. You'll know.
But. I feel sorry for you guys that do. My phone is bigger than those.
Just seems they would give you something bigger and easier to handle.
Now I may be wrong because I don't have to use it. They seem small to me and if you have to punch numbers in it all day you'll be cross-eyed before your done.

What is going on with ELD's

Federal regulations require use starting 12/18/17. Like anything else new, they require getting used to. No biggie IMHO, just get started and it'll be a non issue. Enter your info at startup and put them in the cradle when starting out and you're good for the most part.

There's a site where there's a good user guide for driver use. Read it or download it to your smart phone for easy access.

PS - If someone at my age can learn how to use them the rest of you kids should have no problem!

Wong and myself have no issues either..... Repetition... Repetition....Repetition.....
Or complain,complain,complain???

(1) system is outdated & crashed & stall's daily (2) only one desk top computer to sign in & out on so Driver's wait in line on O.T. to punch in & out (3) the very old ELD system is -15% slower than the Amish's ELD system

I have no clue what you're talking about. Do you? Sign in on the ELD with a PC? Huh?

Ok so here's is what we have to do daily , (1) punch in time clock (2) sign in on driver's room desk top computer ommitrac (3) then sign in again in the ELD and then at close re-do the same thing , and then reboot it at least once daily

We haven't even been trained on them yet. They have about 6 of them for the road drivers but none for the city guys who regularly exceed 12 hours a day.

It seems you have a totally different system than we do (YRCF). Aren't you using the Telogics hand held devices?

And then in January you'll have to go into a kiosk to get a printout of your weekly paycheck! No more paper check guys and gals!
We doing computer work or moving freight? Lol.
I love change. And I'm on the edge of senior citizenry.
But I question some things.
It will cost them the same in time as in paper. If not more.
All the overtime whores have to keep up with the overtime in more ways than one.
And we all know the company gets it wrong "occasionally".

Why would you want a paper check you have to physically cash or deposit somewhere when the electronic pay gets deposited instantly to your chosen account? It's 2017 isn't it? (And I'm way older than you by the way).

Maybe I am old fashion,I still like my paper stub.I have a paper trail.
That's what is going to be history. Direct deposit and NO stub.
I like to just keep track of sick days and vacation used without asking someone.
That was all on the stub.
Now they will have a dedicated computer at each terminal with a printer. Do it yourself service.
This is what we were told they are going to in January. Look into it.

They are gonna stop doing that is what I'm saying. In January.

OK, now I get what you're saying. So you still will get your pay stub only you'll have to print it out yourself. I haven't yet heard about that here. I have worked at other places where you accessed your pay stubs online and can print them out at home.
