I am selling off some items I acquired while working for the best company I ever worked for. Yellow Freight! YRC is a joke, it's Roadway with a different name is all. I resigned from YRC while the Yellow supervisors were being knocked off one by one until it was just Roadway left to rule the roost. Best choice I have ever made : )
This decal went on the side of the door. Measures 33" x 9 3/8". Asking $180

Over the years I collected that kind of ::shit:: too. Pretty soon you'll figure out what I did and just take it right to the trash can and get it out of your house so your kids won't have to throw it away when you pass on.

But...if you find me wrong and you actually find someone to give you $180 for that thing I would like to hear about it.

I worked for ABF also for 2 years as a casual in the Heights. Worked full time at YRC, did my 8 and walked across the road and did 8 at ABF. Slept in my van on many occasions doing that after I left my ex wife "Cybil" lol. ABF is a good company and treated their employees very well. Enjoyed working there also.

Some people around here argue it went the other way...
I think it depends on the location.

For me, I loved working at Indy Preston. There were days we only had one mgr worrking our 112 door terminal, and he handled the road, yard, city, and dock. We took the loads, and got it all done.

Next was Indy Yellow (but I have friends ranking ABF 2nd). We had 3 mgrs for 170 doors. More strict than Preston, but mostly went after only the goofoffs.

Indy YRC became indy Roadway, more concerned with discipline than freight. Not my cup of tea...

I'm glad that you got some good out of them, it's not the company it used to be.

Throw em on eBay.
Years ago I got well over 3 bills for two Roadway doors decals.
Yellow. Eh. Not sure. But there are people out there that pay big money for stuff they don't have.

Maybe after 2019 it will be worth 180.00

Some people around here just argue... :smile new:

ahhhh, We all made the choice to do this for a living. I got out after 20, worked in a lot of heat and cold. Made some good friends, but also seen a few die on the docks or in trailers. As far as work goes tho, after you get some seniority, it's a good job! More mental than physical. I had a good run.

I hope the best for all of you, whatever terminal you work out of.
