What a joke, they tell us not to even pickup freezables here in Wisconsin. They make it seem like they have some special program.
Oh, and I was going to say that they can have all the freezables that are on ABF's 'do not pick up' list.

Anyone besides me rember when we put actual heaters in the trailers to keep products from freezing? I can't remember what year we quit doing it.

Yep, ours were propane, got paid 30min for checking temp every few hrs.
3 heaters in 45ft trailer.

We had them also at CFCC plus had a couple of reefer's at the dock also (and no that the kind somebody will think)

Your guaranteed shipments are no longer guaranteed! I thought our Conway boys (Darren, Paul &Chet) had our service "optimized".

Speedy has some of those. First time I've ever seen one. Up here in Canada, most carriers that haul freezables buy heated trailers. Even FedEx bought a few, though they're vans for dedicated Toronto-Montreal service.

Skelly truckstop, Sheridan, WY, 1978. Went in for supper, left my little 250 Cummins running, while I grabbed a bite to eat and a shower. Came outside and my little horse was frozen solid. Took me a full day with propane heaters after a full day of sleeping in the lounge to thaw her out and get back running. Personally, never been so cold for so long.
