Well TJ is moving over as president of YRC, so Bob Stone will be the new president of Reddaway as of Jan 1.

The king of deflecting questions, who will cut you off mid question with his patented answer will be president. The king who when he visits a terminal in the system simply cannot be bothered to come out of the castle (office) for a meet and greet with the workers.

The king who walks out of meetings when drivers ask him questions he doesn’t like regarding pay or truck speed or anything else that his royal subjects shouldn’t be asking. ‘‘Tis a sad sad day.

Thats a good talking pointI will have to get back with you on that ! ( F YOU )

How about helping your brothers out! I am sure that there are many others like me that would love to know about the guy who is taking over running YRC this year. I know more about the non unions then I know about Reddaway. Working for Holland and all the other trucking companies over the years I just never get out west. I don't think I have been west of Denver since about 85 or 86, so please share with us and give us some sort of scoop on this fella, should we be dancing in the streets or crying in our cereal? Thanks brothers!

Reddaway is a mix of non-union and union. That being said the wondering about TJ, he’s been an upstanding guy. He started with Roadway and has managed different sized barns. He ran USF Bestway and us.

We had drivers in the Intermountain division who run over the Rocky Mountains. Reddaway started using closed shoulder highway tires and those drivers were having traction problems on rain and snow. TJ went to the Denver and Salt Lake terminals and heard the complaints from drivers how these tires didn’t get good traction. The head of the shop at that time didn’t want to change the tires because of fuel mileage, but TJ told him to get the drivers open shoulder tires for good traction because he was concerned about driver safety. It was done in December right as winter was starting to kick in.

TJ also has been out with line drivers on runs. He actually took the time to ride in the dummy seat. I have never heard bob doing that. As far as I’m concerned TJ leaving Reddaway and being replaced is by bob is bad for Reddaway and good for YRC.

Thanks Buddy, appreciate the input! I am really curious about the Union and non union comment but the rest sounds very positive! It actually gives a guy hope that maybe someone could run this outfit that would try and get a good open lane of communications with the drivers and actually try and understand someone else's point of view. Thanks again!

True- Stone is an *******. TJ was at least a Joke- he never went anywhere where it might mean running into the Employees I used to deal with Bob Stone when I was a Shop Steward in Portland, and never saw anything in him remotely sympathetic towards the Employees. He's a true Corporate type.
