I get to 041 with over 5 hours on my drive time and maybe about 7.5 on my 14. I waited almost 2 hours to get a load, until I just said forget it I’ll just go to the hotel. After my 10 hours was up it took me another 6 hours until I got an empty move load out. Is that normal for 041 or did I just get there on a bad day or slow day? Cause when I’m up north the only time I get put on break if I have under 2 hours on my drive time.

I had that happen to me in Memphis a few years ago.I finally called central and they told me if something like that happened again to call them, instead of the terminal. They got me empties to Nashville. If a terminal has no loads, that's fine, give me some empties to go where the freight is at...I think some of these terminals hold freight for their "pals".
Up north, they have terminals so close together,a couple hours is all you need to do some runs, not so much in other areas.

It is a little bit slow right now. And it could be a bad day. I have been there done the same thing. Most of the time it doesn't happen. But different days have different circumstances. Hopefully next time will be better. Good Luck

Thanks I appreciate the information.

I called central and they said I was third on the list for a load out and I should have a load out by 9pm. Well that came and went. But that’s when I called back and they said to come in and grab an empty set

It's that time of the year. Be wide open mid March unless we get an 80 degree winter like last year

With all these companies giving a tax break bonus we might not even have to wait until March. People get extra cash and they spend it. Might not have that much of a slow day

I was there this morning and it was dead. I was able to get a short load out. Looks like no freight is being moved long distance, everything is short haul
Lol you are Hanging out in the wrong part of the country get out to the Midwest and I guarantee you will be looking for a short night and if you don't mind staying out 2 weeks ask them to get you to KC you can go to Denver out of there then on to salt lake and run between those if you can deal with the snow and wind and real mountains

Lol I plan on doing that soon. I’m normally in the northeast and that was my first time in the south. Midwest is next and then hopefully the west coast
