SAIA | New Newark N.J. terminal..?

What's the skinny on the Newark N.J. location.....anyone have any new info on that...?
This forum is so dead that I would suggest getting around that terminal and running down some drivers and get first hand information if your looking for work. Something’s you can find on their website but other things like real time working conditions you need to speak with a driver. Sorry I couldn’t be more help. TB has turned into something that really isn’t that helpful these days. The same old guys with the same old ::shit:: at least on this forum. It really has turned into a big joke. It hasn’t always been this way but sadly it has evolved into one great big joke with very little credibility.

FedEx Freight is still in the terminal on Delancy St in Newark Nj. Rumor is the new mini break they built in North Arlington NJ is due to open. With that said the people at Delancy st will move there opening the bldg for you guys. Some do say FedEx has decided to hold onto in a just in case bldg. As for the bldg is 104 doors but on the north side you can only back in pups do tight yard fence and the west side (4 Doors at end) are pup only. It has a decent shop and fuel island but next to no yard space . In the back you have to stack empties for room. The bldg is Ex Watkins, Viking, Carolina Frght and built by Brown Motor Freight. The other problem is the doors were spaced at 6-8 inches apart to max out door count. If you back in you have to stop and crank the landing gear down and finish the back, get out and crawl under to pull the pin and chock if you can. The current bldg you are in is old and small but has a huge yard for equipment.

102" didnt come about until the 80's...I guess it was around 86.....you needed permits for off interstate driving....give or take.....

Fedex Frt. is moving their equipment this weekend so it will empty soon. Those who are moving in enjoy the a.m. commute into Newark. Give yourselves extra time

Off exit 14 is never good, then merge onto 1&9 north to the hellish exit for Delancy St. That could take 20 minutes alone. Doremus Ave is not much better .
