FedEx Freight | Trump's corporate tax cut for the windfall

A move to 100% match is certainly possible. Not sure it aids in recruiting, but that is beside the point. Definitely a worthwhile enhancement. One that does not break the bank, given that participation in not 100%. Not even close.
I have some numbers I am working on but initial investigation puts us in a tie with Estes for 3rd place in 401(k) match behind SEFL and XPO. Saia and OD are said to be at 6% but not sure if that is a 100% match or total like ours. If better then ours we would fall to 5th. Certainly a area looked at for job prospects. If you help us retire early you will gain a younger and more productive workforce.

66:00 if thats not where it starts off at....just about 2 minutes long...
Outstanding, 8-Toes! So we can EXPECT FedEx to make an announcement next week. Thanks for the share! :1036316054:

Equally interesting and especially entertaining is the audio clip at the 1:11:00 mark. Media geniuses and politicians getting it absolutely wrong, then having to report the reality. Absolutely comical example of just how wrong they can be. Loved it! :biglaugh::grin::biglaugh:

Certainly appreciate the effort :1036316054: Behind straight up wage enhancement (including GPD?), the 401-k increase, and vacation bump, seem like the most likely and practical. IMHO

Some on that list did include a 401(k) bump. Most notably Visa with a 100% match on the first 10% an employee contributes. And Aflac will increase their company’s 401(k) match, from 50% to 100% on the first 4% of employee contribution and make a one-time contribution of $500, helping families to build up their nest egg. FedEx are you listening?

The common theme on that list is :
  • Raising the minimum wage to $15;
  • $1000 bonus
  • Some bonus levels of $1500 & $2000
  • Part timers bonus of $500 to $750.
  • Some capex expenditures.

With all of these things I hear FedEx and I take that to mean Express/Ground...Frieght is the black sheep of the family so I wouldn’t get to excited.

On another note, $15 an hour minimum wage...are you kidding me????? The markets decide the minimum wage, if its artificially raised then the prices of goods and services will also artificially rise leaving us right where we started....

You guys are too focused on the here and now in regards to compensation.
If you want more money, work more.
Sign up for weekend work.
No one has said a word about pension enhancements. If you take a long hard look at it, our pension is nothing to get excited about. Don’t think for a second that social security is going to get you through retirement. Congressman Ryan has it next on his to undo list.

Wow. Do you do personalized palm readings?

Yes, we are getting a bonus!

It should come out next week, and it's your last year's earnings divided in half, multiplied by 0.0219. Not too bad at that.

Guess we'll see. I'd say, proportionally, things will remain pretty much unchanged, as a percentage per opp-co.

As far as raising minimum wages, as long as companies do it by choice (to gain an advantage), based on market conditions, it's all good. The market is showing that government mandates are unnecessary and counter productive. Any skills at all (generally) command a wage above the minimum. I know YOU already know this, but for some, this current market should be an educational opportunity.
