Um... No respectable line driver would do a peddle route. Once you're in the big leagues you don't voluntarily go back to the minors!!Curbed tires, broken fairings, smashed bumpers, broken antennas and bent mirrors, is exactly what happens when you have a line driver work the city. Takes an experienced city driver to get the job done and keep equipment in tip top shape day in and day out.
Ump, if you run em all off, what are you and Billy gonna use for part timers? One more and we can get rid of all these deadbeat wanna be drivers.
Part time goat herders??Ump, if you run em all off, what are you and Billy gonna use for part timers?
I heard line drivers use wheel "chalks".Um... No respectable line driver would do a peddle route. Once you're in the big leagues you don't voluntarily go back to the minors!!
Ha.. If we get one more Billy, we won't need any part timers.Ump, if you run em all off, what are you and Billy gonna use for part timers?
Is this Billy’s alter ego. Maybe son. Sounds just like him. Listen, why would I want to go back to do peddle. Really experienced, hmmm. Okay I’ll bite, each one that has damaged, torn up, not fueled, left garbage or food scraps in, was a experienced driver. Here’s my theory, not my tractor so why should I care.Curbed tires, broken fairings, smashed bumpers, broken antennas and bent mirrors, is exactly what happens when you have a line driver work the city. Especially the yard speeders in sweats. Seriously, I agree. There’s a couple of us Old School drivers left that actually do their job. Hell, I have caught trailers with no license plates. Rusted off, refused to pull it. Pissed off people, but I am not pulling it. I learned inspection prior to driving truck. Alaskan Air Command, F-4F’s you take notice of everything on that aircraft.Alj sounds like a good kid. He’s going to go far. Ok, I’m going to say it.. force a line driver back into the city and a lot of them are going to be tearing things up. The drivers here are in such a big hurry on line that they’re tearing lines apart, hate to see what these boys gonna be doing to our trucks when they have lots of obstacles to handle.
Going to be honest, I’m last of a dyIng breed and make all Line drivers look bad when I work on them weekends.

So what your saying is city guys are "utility" players. Good enough to keep a job but replaceable when a better, younger player comes along?? Now I've been involved with baseball my entire life, would please tell me what position "bases" is?Line-Haul is the big leagues? LOL. You have to be good at one thing, driving in a straight line. So ok, fine, say your’re in the big leagues, but the only thing you’re good when you think about it is batting. A city driver has to be good at all positions, batter, catcher, pitcher, bases, infield and outfield.
Here’s another perspective, driver automation. Who is going to replaced first, a city driver, or a road driver? We all know the answer to that sad question.

Teach him Billy.... We can all agree you city guys work harder, most of us line drivers paid our dues peddling freight. But getting a knock off a Phil Niekro knuckle ball ain't quit the same as taking the Nolan Ryan Express yard. Sometimes that big pepperoni is another fastball with your name on it... and in the show, most of us just want to make sure our last strike out isn't the day the big skipper in the sky decides to retire our number. The boy got a point. Just like a TM runs the whole show at the terminal us city boys are out there calling the shots on the road driving truck, sales, delivery and customer relations. Much more work for little pay. Been around the block many years and only thing that sucks the big pepperoni is the lifestyle and :::: road conditions at night during the winter that come with linehaul

And let's not forget one thing rook... Chick's dig the long ball!!

As far as I know it's all OD.Is it an internal Old Dominion truck school out of the OD Rialto terminal or is it some independent CDL school in Rialto that OD happens to send trainees to, do you know? Thanks in advance.
