Holland | Inhumane cold dock work environment

This Bonanza was known as the "doctor killer," many doctors and lawyers bought these and did not have enough experience
for such a high performance aircraft.
At one time it was flawed, the tail would break off in flight, Beechcraft came out with a modification and solved that problem.
Me, being the chief pilot for Coop Dispatch use the computer for all takeoff and landings on our DC3.
Reason for this, Dave won't let me in the cabin till we reach ten thousand ft.
My computer guru had a client that had the software & rudder pedals in his office & would fly the most realistic fake plane you could imagine. He had 1 program that was set up for a 737 stretch & you would think he was in a flight simulator at one of the airlines. He had some serious bucks in that set up. He had a friend who was an actual pilot that had flown stretch 737's & he would come over on days off & help him tweak the software & hardware he had set up. Between him & the pilot they bought or made a lot of the controls. Jaw dropping is an understatement when you walked in his office. The 50 inch monitors on the wall made you feel you were on the flight deck rolling down the runway for take off. Was only there a dozen times over the years & it was still not enough. von.

I heard Dave and Wong discussing, making you a sky marshall on the plane.
Seeing how that is considered hazardorus duty, do I get a pay increase to Combat pay? And as a Air Marshall do I have final say on seat assignments? And what kind of bullets am I allowed to use? Decompression @ Angels 30 can result in one harry ride to the recovery sight. von.

You gonna need to get with Dave and Wong, I'm flying the executive plane.

You don't get to bitch and moan, but his avatar is him complaining about only being paid at 85%.

The difference between an autonomous forklift and an autonomous car is that an autonomous forklift, like autonomous mining equipment that is substantially larger, operates in a people-free environment for the most part.

The AI doesn't have to be brilliant. It just has to be smart enough to execute a series of commands based on sensor readings. And if you think that technology doesn't already exist, you're wrong. There are mines where human interference amounts to fixing the machines when they break. All they need to do is map the terrain using the sensors and the machine does the rest.

I assure you that an autonomous forklift can do your job. The only reason they're not widespread yet is because they are still prohibitively expensive compared to people in a busy environment such as a break bulk crossdock. And considering just this year Intel revealed a processor suite specifically designed to work like the human brain, machines like these are getting closer to being able to interact with people.
An old high school friend is an engineer for Jervis Webb and they make these automated forklifts. I saw them in operation as late as 10 years ago. They are already in use at large Coke, Pepsi, and Beer warehouses.

Oh joy to the cold weather , that time of the year again to enjoy the dock with snow blowing across it and wind chill of -25 !!

I feel for anyone who has to be in that stuff.
It's painful.
And when I worked in it I always thought they weren't paying me enough to work in it.....
