....and so it begins....

You have to give the labor union in Canada a BIG hand for saving all those jobs

the employer of nearly 13,000 people, Chief Operating Officer Little says that Suncor has been preparing for the autonomous switch by hiring many of its truck drivers “on a temporary basis,” and will not be laying off any “permanent employees” as they continue to work with their labor union to formulate a plan to reduce the number of employees who end up jobless, including training them for other positions.

It would be funny as hell if those who were “trained” for new jobs got transferred to their new positions and through some kind of internal screwup, they were all sent to replace everyone from the CEO down.

Nothing amusing about paying dues to a bunch of clowns who get to keep their jobs until retirement

Canada should pass a law saying if you don't get equivalent work Your dues paid should be refunded so you can invest in a retirement program non union related

150 trucks.
Wonder how long it takes to see the positive results from that investment?
And we wonder why fuel is 3 dollars a gallon?

Not very cost effective at all especially if alternative fuel rules the day in countries they sell to. China isn't big enough to dig them out of that one
