Are all the LTL companies running there guys to the breaking point right now or are some of you all slow? Seems we can't catch a damn breather any day of the week and anything under 60 hour week is a slow week. Who canceled hamburger season

Max hours during the slow season. Everyone I talk to is unamused. Regardless of who the work for.

I think the was a market shift within our company. The ones that were slow got bombed with new customers and freight and those that are always busy lost freight and customers. Now we have barn that have to many drivers and other that have to few. I learned over the years get it while the getting good because the fright can flip at a moments notices. One week your working 12-14hrs day the next barely getting 8hrs a day.
At may barn It's has stayed pretty steady through the year so far. No big ups or downs and as far as I know every city driver is getting 8 though we have sat LH a few times but no one was forced to sit the senior guys volunteered to
 
Every day is different at my barn. The bottom two l/h drivers sit at least two nights a week. They are able to get 8 hours on the dock or run off the FAC. City guys are pretty busy, but not swamped. We are gearing up hiring, dock help and drivers, have three drivers retiring by April first. I expect it to get busier in the next 30 days or so.

That guy don’t work here and has serious comprehension issues. I’m not dealing with him any more. Ever hear the story about not being able to fix stupid ? It’s a short story and a true one. Cause it don’t really matter who you are, you can’t fix stupid.

WOW !!! Now that's busy UN. only 1 p/d guy is hitting 65 hrs plus currenty at our place. I HAD A 13.5 HR DAY LAST FRIDAY.BUT THAT'S CAUSE WE WERE ALL BACKED UP CAUSE WE HAD A SNOW DAY WHERE L/H SHUT DOWN CAUSE OF ICE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE WEEK.
