The annual Employee Survey is supposed to be done this month. Has ANYONE heard ANYTHING about it?

Hmmm... The silence is deafening. But then again, there was supposed to be a communication effectiveness survey. back in Nov. Never happened.

If it does happen, it might be wise to get on the same page. The addition of that 5th vacation week comes to mind as a worth cause, among others.

:hilarious: :hysterical:

No word here yet but I am still waiting for a discussion from last years comments that were promised. I will be on board for the added vacation as well as a 401(k) match increase just like last year.
As always, good Point.

Seems to me, both an increased 401(k) match & an additional week vacation, fit nicely under the topic of making FedEx Freight the "best place to work". Also would reinforce the Living PSP philosphy... IMHO.

Friday we where asked for our birthday. Asked why they where asking and they said to assign passwords for survey. Doesn’t seem so secret when you attach a birthday to it. Thats what we were told

Sounds like an ill-conceived method... Wonder if system wide, or an isolated brainstorm. Still not heard a thing.

Not sure about others but it might be nice to have decent (or even mediocre) computers available for drivers and dock workers. Our's was slower than a 10 yr old laptop on dial up, & has now been down for MONTHS. Zero access unless you ask leadership to sign you in to an office computer.

Would it be too much to ask, for an upgrade? When they do upgrade office units, couldn't we get a couple of those being trash canned? :putr: :regretful:

Aboyt 10 years ago or so we were asked to participate in the survey and we were told it was totally anonymous. We were handed an envelope with our names on them and the survey inside. At the bottom of the survey were a set of random numbers and everyone’s numbers were different so we all randomly exchanged surveys...needless to say management got pissed for some odd reason!! :idunno:

Make a point of bringing this up in the comment section. It's possible your mgr. Is doing something he's not supposed to. I know for sure they listen to these surveys. Where I'm at we had an operations mgr. removed from his position. It was made clear to us it was a result of the recent survey we just completed. He wasn't let go. He was put in a position which had nothing to do with the drivers. Made the drivers happy and, after a few months, the mgr. seemed happier.
Where I'm at, at least 20 passwords are spread out on a table. Even if you're the last driver, you pick one at random without being watched and sit down at a computer.

Random password out of envelope at our last one.
Asking for your birthday, not so random. Besides, HR already has it. If they need it that badly, they need to ask HR.

Just a quick question concerning the survey...how many were/are told that the survey pertains to issues on the local level rather than the company as a whole??

We’ve always been told that the survey is for local issues pertaining to only our center which could/would change one’s answers to various questions.

Yeah, often they will "say" it pertains to your immediate supervisor. But in reality, some questions pertain to "managers, directors, and officers".

An accurate explanation of who these "managers, directors, and officers" are, would be nice, prior to the survey. Most don't know who these titles apply to.

For years guys would answer the questions as if they pertained to the company as a whole, which makes sense to me judging by how some of the questions are worded, and some answers could conjure different responses depending on whether we’re talking local or nationally. :idunno:

Example...Would you recommend employment to a friend?

Nationally: Sure, great company to work for...

Locally: Uhhhh, maybe, what’s your other options?
