I agree. We have given them everything to make it work. I've seen top management get bonus after bonus, year after year. We give them approximately $60,000,000 back each month counting employee give backs and the pension givebacks. WE should have the best equipment on the road and the debt should have been paid off long ago. We have the sorriest management in the LTL industry. Our maintenance and safety programs are scary to say the least. If you are a steward you should file a grievance against the company on a weekly basis under Article 16 of the NMFA and have your members call the IBT and raise hell daily. This will be the start of the grass roots movement that needs to take place.

Yes, that is on the middle side of things. Around $600,000,000 would be closer based on the 25,000 plus teamster employees the company says we have. Where is the yearly printout that we're suppose to get on how much we have give them back each year. That was one in a grievance some years back. Time to go.
 
I remember when the company was paying full rate for years.The last few were an unsustainable app. 300 per week.We would all be millionaires if the money they contributed in our name actually went to an account in our name, instead of our company paying for the retirement of employees from companies that bankrupted years ago that never even drove a tractor or lifted a box for us.
Our pension is the exact definition of a Ponzi scheme.

That’s not the point at all!!! I think the point is that this was to be a sacrifice from the top down which has been total bullshit!! The top just keeps getting more an more!! Time to crack the piggy bank and spread the wealth, or put the pig to rest!!!

Your thinking sensibly falcon, no problem with managment salary they signed on for it and our was voted on by a democratic process. (Kind of ) but the difference between companies like ours and Amazon or Facebook is their managment makes money before they receive bonuses. I’m no Zuckerberg or Jeff Beso fan but they have taken when deserved. Beso is even on record of taking no salary while his companies were not turning a profit our guys are greedy pigs. They even take a bonus because they lost less then they did the quarter in the year before. Salaries and bonuses are two different things.

I don't know what it takes in compensation to keep qualified leadership at the helm of a billion dollar company .
Gave back 15% of my wages, a week of vacation, 10 mins of break time per day, 75% of my pension rate, 1 hour per day of my vacation rate.

And we will move forward from here.Our Insurance beats all non union companies ( my guess) by 4 to 5 dollars per hour.The situation we are in sucks..but can get better without closing doors.

The Columbus Dispatch reports that Amazon is within the top 20 large corporations in Ohio for the greatest number of employees on the food stamp roles. In Ohio alone there are 1,430 Amazon employees, the number includes their familes, who are on the food stamp program because their wages are so low they can't afford to feed themselves.

And this is just after Amazon recieved millions upon millions of dollars in tax breaks for locating there. In other words, everyone in the state expected good paying jobs and Amazon responds with such low paying jobs that a lot of their employees can't pay their own grocery bill. Way to go leftists. Criticize the right for what you yourselves are guilty of.

That’s an eye opener. I’ve never been a fan of his politics but thought he a better businessman than that. SCREW HIM TOO!
