I agree. We have given them everything to make it work. I've seen top management get bonus after bonus, year after year. We give them approximately $60,000,000 back each month counting employee give backs and the pension givebacks. WE should have the best equipment on the road and the debt should have been paid off long ago. We have the sorriest management in the LTL industry. Our maintenance and safety programs are scary to say the least. If you are a steward you should file a grievance against the company on a weekly basis under Article 16 of the NMFA and have your members call the IBT and raise hell daily. This will be the start of the grass roots movement that needs to take place.

Yes, that is on the middle side of things. Around $600,000,000 would be closer based on the 25,000 plus teamster employees the company says we have. Where is the yearly printout that we're suppose to get on how much we have give them back each year. That was one in a grievance some years back. Time to go.

Does anyone know how much per hour our insurance is worth?
I challenge you to give 15,000 men a 25 cent raise on your calculator for just a 40 hour week for a year, but take a guess before you do the math ...you will be shocked.

If this company was making billions it would be very easy to get a much better contract and easily survive a strike if necessary...but it ain’t the case.Everyone has the right to pound their chest and demand full rate.Everyone has the right to call us a bunch of dumb asses if we vote ourselves out of a good job.

And for all you teamsters already retired we are sorry but your pension is going to be slashed about 70% .

Oh yeah, before anyone starts their sheep shi t I’ll bet I have done more for the union and stood up to the man just as much if not more than any of you .I have 2 grievances filed right now and will get at least 11 hours pay.If that’s sheepish I’ll wear it as a badge.

Why would the pension be slashed? We dont pay ::shit:: into it anyway. 25% of the '09 rate? That isnt ****. And I could give a rats ass about what the ceo makes. I'v given back 140k over 10 years. Multiply that times how many drivers. Congrats on your grievances. Want a medal or a chest to pin it on?

If you read...its if dumb asses close down another one ...then those that are retired..pensions will be slashed..The PBGC
will need a bailout or they'll get slashed to zero.
You haven't gave back shi t .You have probably made 6 or 7 hundred thousand in the last 10 years in addition to having the company pay roughly $190,000.00 for your free insurance and pay $39,000.00 towards the bull Shi t retirement.
Sure we would have made more without concessions but you have been earning, not giving back.We have all had 10 years to get better jobs....You know damn good and we'll they will never restore pay to where it would have been without concessions so why the he'll start a dumb ass slogan to lock the gate?To be honest I hope to be gone by then anyway.Yes going non union for security where I won't have a bunch of dumb asses wanting to close another company down.

Your thinking sensibly falcon, no problem with managment salary they signed on for it and our was voted on by a democratic process. (Kind of ) but the difference between companies like ours and Amazon or Facebook is their managment makes money before they receive bonuses. I’m no Zuckerberg or Jeff Beso fan but they have taken when deserved. Beso is even on record of taking no salary while his companies were not turning a profit our guys are greedy pigs. They even take a bonus because they lost less then they did the quarter in the year before. Salaries and bonuses are two different things.

Gave back 15% of my wages, a week of vacation, 10 mins of break time per day, 75% of my pension rate, 1 hour per day of my vacation rate.

I don't know what it takes in compensation to keep qualified leadership at the helm of a billion dollar company .

And we will move forward from here.Our Insurance beats all non union companies ( my guess) by 4 to 5 dollars per hour.The situation we are in sucks..but can get better without closing doors.

Ask the people of Ohio about the richest man in the world.

His hypocrisy in all his political stances is shown in his own company. The Columbus Dispatch reports that Amazon is within the top 20 large corporations in Ohio for the greatest number of employees on the food stamp roles. In Ohio alone there are 1,430 Amazon employees, the number includes their familes, who are on the food stamp program because their wages are so low they can't afford to feed themselves.

And this is just after Amazon recieved millions upon millions of dollars in tax breaks for locating there. In other words, everyone in the state expected good paying jobs and Amazon responds with such low paying jobs that a lot of their employees can't pay their own grocery bill. Way to go leftists. Criticize the right for what you yourselves are guilty of.

That’s an eye opener. I’ve never been a fan of his politics but thought he a better businessman than that. SCREW HIM TOO!
