Please tell me there is a strapping and recouping event in the competition.
And/or proper weight distribution? Notice anything else?

This, found half way through the day, behind other stuff... Seemed a little bit heavy on the nose, but not extreme. Conveniently, the scale was out of order that day. BUT, they were well strapped. 5 straps on the 6 totes...

Just an observation, but looking at those totes, liquid filled, weighing, I am guessing,2,500-3,000 lbs each? With 5 of 6 totes in the first 12-15 feet of trailer, no way does this scale legal on a single axle.

Funny you post this pic after what happened to me yesterday...

I noticed the strap around the last tote on the right has the “hook” to the inside of where the strap is secured to the wall. I was pulling 6 totes yesterday that were secured in this same manner and one of the totes shifted and the “hook” punctured the tote causing it to leak!! Had the strap been used upside down, the “hook” would’ve been to the outside which could’ve/would’ve prevented the puncture.

NOTE: For those of you who aren’t familiar, our straps have a bracket that clamps to the tracks in the wall as well as a hook for d-rings for the trailers that don’t have the tracks.

Again? This time we could see the obvious. No, we won't be leaving the yard like this. Stop the presses! Everyone clock to education.

And they still had 4600# left to load, requiring a complete strip.

Any questions?

I'll be interested to see if this topic is part of the competition. Would make a great tie breaker, requiring legal axle weights.

I was able to check out one of these events. Very cool! :1036316054:

Very challenging for the competitors, and fun to watch. My grandson LOVED it, and my wife did too.

Highly recommend seeing one, if you get the chance.

I would have posted video, but no cameras are allowed. Due to the ongoing competition schedule, and in fairness to all, the specifics of the course challenges need to be kept super secret. :27:

Impressive skills were on display. Certainly worth watching, and would be fun to actually participate in.

I heard they had a boardwalk set up on the dock in the shape of a figure 8, 5 feet wide, and the contestant had to drive the whole thing, backwards, with his GPS, because they put Big Dave's hat over the cage so the driver could not see?
