ODFL | Pre-post trip and fuel pay..

You boys are right, you need a increase in the stop pay when a lot of you are earning only over 110k. I feel so bad when I see fbn covering up his New Lexus with the overpriced dealership cover before he starts his night. A few extra bucks each night would help cure the blues of depreciation.
Billy I don’t own a Lexus. I own the red Smart Car. Yes I cover it also. I can get a Glad Hefty Bag to go over the top of it.

I asked my scouts and ain’t anyone seen some smart car in that lot. Just high end vehicles.
That’s right!!! You have scouts here. OMG, they’re not those pair of goats standing outside the gate are they? Hahahaha, majority of us are simple, average people. What’s high end to you? Why does it bother you? We’re keeping the American Dream alive. Have a great weekend Billy. I’m pulling out my BMW, put down the top and take a drive on this beautiful day.

I'm smart enough to know line is not easy.Just the hours alone can be a killer. But it's damnrd good money. Those boys up in CIC,2600 miles a week.Close to 100k and paying maybe half of what my house payment is.Socking that money into the 401k.
But I like LTL.Even though it's hard work.I like peddling freight.Dont want to start early and deliver all that fingerprint freight.Even though we have less of it now.I'd rather be doing a route. But damn.Sometimes leaving 1130 to Noon with 12-14 stops because Uline. It can wear on you.And then getting home late.
So I don't mind that SaturDAY run to KET.Yes it's mostly flat unless I via to SF or SJ.I just don't do it every Saturday.

Perhaps you gonna be seeing a city driver taking your new truck out on this beautiful day.

It ain’t some easy life, but lord knows there always be a need for us rough neck truck drivers running the city.

Every single time I run linehaul I roll down the highway with a smile on my face in disbelief that I'm making more money to do less work than I do all week in the city. Seriously, while your standing at the fuel pump waiting for the tanks to fill try to think about the guy that has 15 poorly loaded deliveries leaving the yard at 11am. 400lb screenhouses to residential areas 6 skid inside deliveries to schools and then dispatch sending 6 pickups 2 hours after leaving the yard. Maybe then fueling the truck won't seem so hard. Before you know it you'll be back on the highway with the cruise control on listening to satellite radio averaging $35+ dollars an hour.
Wow, now that's putting things into perspective! If I had any doubts about going into Linehaul, you just cured it. I work at SEFL and you just described the city to a freaking tee. Guess it goes without saying, don't matter what LTL company you work for, the only difference is the color of the trucks.

I was just joking. I will never own a smart car and the woman is the one with the hot car. I like my big ole pickup. Your scouts are feeding you bad information. Hey are your scouts that group of homeless in the bushes by our yard? Y’all have a great week. Be safe.
