You are correct on our ownership. Hadn't heard if it will be a break, but it is very likely as every other break that services the NE is at capacity. They also bought the old Roadway terminal in Tannersville, Pa on Route 715. 2 large docks a total of 265+ doors, and a huge maint. bay, 11 doors plus a large tractor shop. Confirmed this on Monroe County tax assessor site, Old Dominion is the owner. Rumor is it will be the breakbulk for New England.
I was trying to find pictures, but I did find that we paid 15 million for it. No doubt we'll have big plans for it.You are correct on our ownership. Hadn't heard if it will be a break, but it is very likely as every other break that services the NE is at capacity.
Just go on Google Maps and you can see it. I drive by it alot the place is huge. According to people at Central we will be in there within a year. I don’t think they want to come out and say what the exact plan is because it is going to change the way we move freight throughout the system in the Northeast.I was trying to find pictures, but I did find that we paid 15 million for it. That’s where it is. There is a outside company using it to process Walmart’s freight, they are using one of the two docks. Rumor has it that the lease is almost up. OD wanted that property bad it was not listed for sale anywhere. Back in 2015 YRC sold it to an investment group for 8.5 million OD paid 15how close to the Walmart Dist Ctr is it ?
We are definitely in growth mode, somebody has a master plan. Personally I think they are preparing for the end of YRC which could very much happen in April. The contract is up with the teamsters and YRC is stone cold broke.new terminal codes BFI Blackfoot ID , most likely to merge POI and IDF. can't find the physical address on the map but a fedex freight terminal was just built within the last year about where the OD terminal address would be and LFI Lafayette IN also right around the fedex freight address
Same could probably be said about no Overtime for city drivers at OD when most other major ltl carriers pay it. Not to mention sub par drop hook and fuel pay for linehaul. Every company has there act to clean up, some more than others. We heard that YRC krud for the past 10 years. Even their own people cant make up their minds. Sounds like too many new guys that dont care about Teamsters history ane will just vote yes to more concessions. Too bad they cant get their act together but thats probably how their sam.management wants it, just say'n

I love the ones that complain about OD and their overtime policy. The funny thing is if this was such a problem how come OD does not have a problem getting drivers like YRC does?? Wait I know the answer no one want to work for a company that drives nothing but gang banged junk and literally can close the door tomorrow.Same could probably be said about no Overtime for city drivers at OD when most other major ltl carriers pay it.
