XFL to return in 2020 according to Vince McMahon

The WWE ain't about that. It's not boxing or MMA. It's about the stories and characters. It's a soap opera.

I recall a wrestler by the name Daniel Bryan who claimed at first he's a submission type of wrestler with MMA techniques and what about Brock lesner ?
Oh yeah MMA is well spoken for at the WWE

Ummm, you realize that the MMA is a competition event ? And that the WWE is an entertainment event ?

After a MMA fight one or both combatants look like ::shit:: or worse. Usually there is a trip to the hospital involved. Concussions, smashed noses, fingers, wrists and toes jammed and broken.

Went to a WWE thing here in Columbus years ago. At the end a bunch of the stars came out horsing around. Everybody took turns slamming on Undertaker for like 15 minutes it seemed. Then he gets up all high fiving and everything, and they all smile and wave to the crowd as they walk out together.

Do you comprehend that one is not the other ?

Yeah so am I.

NFL even had a bunch of refs quit this year. They are taking to much of the game out of the game. It's becoming a terrible product. Not that it has been that great the last few years. But it's not improving at all. And that is concerning, if you are a fan.

Hey whatever
If you think the WWE is all fun and games ? I guess this is prep for a Mr. Universe that never took place

Obviously, these are large men with cartoonish bodies. That doesn't make it any different what they do. It's entertainment. They rarely get seriously hurt. Yes, jumping off ladders and getting smacked with tables and chairs ( even if they are gimmicked ) is going to hurt and leave bruises and so on. It's not MMA. It's not collegiate or Olympic wrestling. It's for fun. Have you ever been to a show in person ?

They are juiced up and bloated out of proportion. Lesner did get kicked out of MMA for PEDs. Not a secret.

Not from what I read. Lessner is bouncing between WWE and mma depending who pays more ? Also had a mix-up with Vince mcmahon after WrestleMania a few weeks ago
It sounds like lessner is on thin ice with the boss

So then read this: https://www.theguardian.com/sport/2016/dec/15/brock-lesnar-ufc-failing-drugs-test

Dana White ain't a big fan either. Lesner rubs people wrong everywhere he goes. And after he had a couple fights and people had film of him to study. He had been getting his ass kicked pretty badly in MMA anyway.

That really isn't the point though. MMA is actual combat. WWE is not. Sounds like you have never been to either event in person. What you see on TV in MMA is what you see when you are there. What you see on TV in WWE is cut and edited and altered. They pull out a bunch of the crowd noise. People booing and jeering the guys they are hyping. Replace that audio with cheers. Plus fill over it with the two loud mouths yapping about how great so and so is.

Your link doesn't work
But the response would be this drama queen at the MMA
Enjoy...

There are plenty of ways to get the information.

As for Conor. Sometimes people that pick fights for fun are good at picking fights for a living. It's in his nature. What are you gonna do ? He is gonna fight something. That's what he does.

MMA is open combat competition. MMA is a fight.

WWE is scripted. It's written and planned out and rehearsed.

Oh yeah it's all out war on that bus
It out weighs him by several thousands but McGregor is a real tough guy

XFL looking to steal some NFL draft picks

The XFL is serious about spending money when it comes to talent. XFL commissioner Oliver Luck reportedly sent out an email to agents that the XFL is willing to pay $200,000 per season for “exceptional players”. Compare that to the Alliance of American Football, which will have a base of $250,000 over three years, and what a practice squad player makes in the NFL ($7,600 per week at minimum, $129,000 for a full 17 weeks) and there’s some significant upside in becoming a top player in the XFL.

Practice players in the NFL will have to weigh job security — there is little on the practice squad — with NFL opportunity. Of course, there’s nothing that says a player can’t double dip … yet. The NFL rookie minimum is $480,000 which is far above what a player can make in the XFL or AAF.

This could be an option for players who were scraping by and always on the roster bubble in the NFL. Having consistency in name-brand recognizable players will benefit the leagues. No one likes having to learn new players every year. People will leave the XFL and AAF for the NFL, but both leagues should focus on trying to retain talent as much as possible.
also is something to watch if there is a work stoppage in the NFL. Both the AAF and XFL will have some time under their belt as a league — albeit only a few years — and middle of the roster players may opt to sign up if they know the work stoppage in 2022 will drag on

As screwed up as the NFL can be, I don't see it working out for Vince in the long run.

As I said before I admire Vince because he attempts the unthinkable on tv ( a modern day Alan funt if you will ) but lately he's venturing into a sport that he can't compete with

He doesn't have to. The NFL don't know what a catch or a tackle is. If all he does is actually have them play football. There will be a massive audience.

Don't see it happening. People aren't going to give up on the NFL. With all it's warts it's still part of Americana. Look up defunct American football league's. Vince McMahon isn't going to create any history with his own league.......again. It'll be just another oh yeah this isn't the NFL after the curiosity wears off.

A I mentioned months ago Roger goodell had plans to expand the NFL to a few more states and possibly Mexico
Even if the XFL becomes a threat to ticket sales? Roger could make it a reality and I'm more then sure there are millionaires who will be happy to buy a team
