R&L | Im thinking R+L should take the lead on this and go mirrorless.

i like it and it would very probably improve aero, but what are you going to do when the camera fails? And they will fail eventually; We use backup cams on most of our straight trucks(UPSF). Each and every one has had issues.

You know, you are driving a 40 ton vehicle. Making an emergency lane change after the camera goes out and HOPING there is no car there could mean someone's life.

No way. I used to work for pepsi..They had back up came on 40 ft trailers. They all eventually would fail. Sometimes they get covered in dirt and grimes. The vibration causes them to point at the sky or straight to the ground. Inevitably they just stopped working altogether.

It's mechanical, it can fail. What happens when it stops working? Want to have another reason to put a truck in the shop? I have onguard on my truck and it seems like half the time it's not working.

Well, all saying, what happens when the camera fails? What do you do when a mirror breaks? You replace it. Figure that would be the same with these cameras.
