Every LTL company is slow right now. The economy is slow, no matter what the Gov. says. We have had 2 quit and still are over staffed. The people who are supposed to know say the second half of 07, the economy will begin to pick up. I have 20 yrs in and only worked 30 hours week before last, trying to let the guys on the bottom get some hours. Bottom guy didn't work at all 2 days, but turned down a short road run Fri. night.

Due to a Change of Operation Roadway Kansas City is taking aps for City / Dock & Road, other locations dooing the same. Mustache Retired Roadway

we laid off 4 people in last 3 weeks but with new start time for linehaul our city drivers are all getting 9-10 hours a day.they are trying to get us out early no late arrivels at fac work.

Chicagoland we had no layoffs. Some place's are putting people on.We do have driver's and supervisors leaving on their own.We still our the best training center FXF will ever have.:tongue0015:
Same where I work, but replace fxf with peninsula. I have yet to see somebody techincly layed off, they just seem to not call the extra board in very often at times. Strangely, right now not only are we hiring, we are actually starting a school soon.:hide:

XEF laid off also...

I was down to 2-3 nights a week and collecting unemployment when I quit for a better job.Since then I've heard some major lay off's have taken place.Glad I got out when I did.Seeings how I was 2nd from the bottom...LOL:1036316054:
