If they really wanted to cut costs they should prove it by starting to cut at the top. Not just by taking pay cuts, but by getting rid of some of the over management. I don"t know how it is at other barns, but at our barn we have more supervisors than we have ever had. At a time where business is down, what the hell are they supervising? Most of the time it seems they are supervising a coffee cup in the office. Lets talk about all of the redundancy at upper management levels. How many useless jobs are there at Overland Park? How many VP's of this, and VP's of that do they need. And let's have a few more assistants to the VP, I am sure we are runniing short on those too. We all know by now that management has never seen any other ways to cut cost other than by the union workers to take a pay cut. Let's all join together by writing "return to sender" on this letter and letting the international have proof that we all are tired of sacrificing when upper management is not willing to sacrifice themselves. If only our management dealt with failure as the old Japanese did, (hint to Bill Z.) fall on the sword already, you are a proven failure.
