tlar123...To be honest with you Con-way is one of the few ltl's (I know would not be welcome at Gomer Pyle, either) I did not apply at. A good friend of mine work's there at AY and I hear all the horror stories and how they moved you to a 70 hour week. Plus, I'm a terrible dock worker, or so I have been told by YRC management because I'm interested in loading freight without damaging it and not getting myself hurt in the process.

LOL I think we are in a hiring freeze right now

Yeah, just think at Conway, management can tell their employees how to drive with their State-Of-The-Art safety mechanisms installed in their tractors. In case something happens, the management can fire a driver a lot easier now. Isn't that wonderful? Here, check it out. I wonder if the voice activator says, "Following Too Close To A YRC Truck, (beep) Slow Down! (Beep) Slow Down!" :LMAO:

I will never take a non-union trucking job.

You might say that now... but in my area for example there just isn't any jobs period. A lot of the businesses in my area have moved out to south of the boarder or over seas. So I guess what I am saying I looked for work even outside of trucking with no one wanting to touch me... was it because I work for a union company I do not know. But when your family gets hungry or hurt and you need insurance what will you do???

teamsters are marked men because Hoffa and the teamster union backed Obama in '08
who is anti-business big time

duh, like we need business to function

b s no matter where u go. i don tknow where u r at, but fed ex road guys make a pretty good dollar...ain t close to minimum and the insurance is dirt cheap and a lot better than onions. fed ex reminds me alot of roadway before the merger with yellow. it s all b s wherever u go.
