FedEx Freight | Truck driver charged with DUI in rollover

We've had a few city drivers get DUIs, a couple of them have been transferred to hostling for a minimum of 5 years before they can go back on the street.

I'm schocked that he was not Terminated after the first DUI (if that's true) be it in his pesonal vehichel or otherwise.:hide:

They have to wait till its been to court and you either plead guilty or are found guilty before they can impose any corrective action, So if the first (DUI) was within a couple months like FM stated and assuming the person in question chose NOT to blow (breathalyzer) he has the right to choose a trial by jury and possibly beat the charges , so by chance it hasn't been to court yet, Obviously if it was in a company vehicle (Truck) and a accident occured and you were found to be intoxicated (breathalyzer? Blood test?) By Law enforcement or by a company chosen clinic , then thats all the proof they need to impose corrective actions, either way it was a very expensive drink ($70,000 dollars or more eh') :beerchug:

HOW EVER: as i read FM's post better he said "just got through with a DUI charge in his personal vehicle" so i am making a moot point, lol , thought it said just got a DUI charge in his personal vehicle, Not only can i NOT type i cant read either.

I know at SEFL we have to report any moving violation b4 we go on next tour of duty. If it is reckless driving, driving 15 or more over speed limit in company vehicle 20 over in personal vehicle or DUI you are suspended immediatley and cannot drive company vehicle until the court works it out. They do this because of liability issues if anything else happens they are covered
