XPO | There is just so much B.S. at this company

its sort of like the I.C.E. program and all the other programs ive seen, including that trip to xgo... kinda like lip service... looks good on paper, but in the field.....'pack em & stack em" roger?:toxic:

There is B.S. and rederick at every company out there. The trick is to find the rederick you can put up with for the most money. Union rederick might pay better than ODFL rederick, Conway rederick might pay better than R&L rederick, but it's all the same job. Just different B.S.. Trucking is a solo way of life. Like wrestling, you are part of a team but it is only you that carries your weight. Do your job, collect your pay, and build a life away from work with the money you earn allows. The only pressure on you is the pressure you put on youself. If that pressure is productivity at work or material objects in your personal life the pressure is yours and yours alone. Don't carry anyone elses weight or assume their pressure. Rise above the clutter. Does that help? Press on

Trust me, you couldn't **** me off on your best day:smilier_132: , but I see you're still avoiding the question.
I'm not avoiding it, I like my job and I like the people I work with. I am working on my exit plan as we speak. I thought at one time I would retire from here. I don't think so. Until I do leave I'm going to keep posting and the facts about this company and helping drivers keep from getting walked on by management who don't fallow there own policy's or state, Federal, E.P.A, L.O.D regulations. I forgot the pride manual.

Some factual, some B.S. Glad you clarified though. If you do move on, I don't think you'll be any more satisfied. Don't look to others for your happiness, it happens within YOU or it doesn't happen at all. Look for the positives instead of finding nagatives to focus on.

I am very happy. I will focus on the truth and facts of what has happened and is happening in this company while I am here. There is nothing wrong with that. I will be happy at my next company. I know were I am going and what the job is. Until then I will keep uncovering the dirt. Tell me what you feel is negative about what I have posted? Is it not true that there was dishonesty about the pension. Is it wrong to talk about the 16 drivers that have left XbV in 2.5 months Or why L/H is 150 to 200 drivers short a night. how about telling costumer one of the reasons why last years rate increase was so high was to give us a cost of living raise equal to the cost of living, I was 4.6% last. You blame drivers for the JR drivers leaving. How about the way they are treated at the F.A.C.'s. When I see something good I post it. I also would like to see the drivers stand up for them self's and for there co-worker. I would love to hang with you all day but I can't take care.

Your gonna make us all puke with your company a$$ kissing attitude. Your probably management anyways. I get so sick of company pukes like you not seeing the light up ahead of you. This company just took away our pension plan, how the hell can you be so gung ho after that. They took away most of our sick days. You can choose to be happy about it, but us smart ones know we got boned.

That's it in a nutshell:1036316054:
Give the guy some time (Actually a year) to realize that his promotion was the beginning of the end and that he is caught in the Con-way mouse trap.
It ain't all that glamorous salaried readers!!! Con-way cheese stinks.

I am in complete and total agreement with your message but let me say that people possess different breaking points where they say "enough is enough". The screwin' ain't done and your not there yet and that's OK.

Your approach to life is healthy and peace of mind does bring happiness but that does not mean that it is also healthy to allow our company to "enhance" our compensation without some squawking. If I do not voice my displeasure then they will think that we are just one big happy team composed of multitudes of overpaid, contented worker units. And that those here on this forum are just a few, isolated disgruntled laborers that can be dismissed as insignificant.

I will bet the farm that says your compensation WILL continue to erode. And at some point, you will come around. But I hope that it is not too late.

Why not; I'm so confident that I will cover any secured wager up to $100,000.00. I need a new and sure revenue source 'cause you may have learned that I lost the vast portion of my pension. Health care has been reduced and my wages are not keeping up with the natural economic progression of inflation. As I grow older and I would presume, wiser - I would think that my economic security would become stronger and more readily attainable but that is not what I see happening. Many years of service at Conway means that you can pick a start time/vacation dates before the next guy picks his. But that's all it means. Conway owes me nothing except what they promised me in compensation for services rendered.

My offer for those of you that still maintain a Pollyanna view stands.

Bets?

Wherever you work you'll be a lot better off if you do the best you can,and don't worry about the rest.
Companies really don't care much on how their workers feel about the way the company runs.

You agreed to work for your company for what they offered in wages, and benefits.

So there you go,you came to them looking for work.
As long as they provide work for you to do,and the paychecks don't bounce, what else do you want?

Driver, each of us has the ability to determine how hard we're going to work. You're putting that pressure on yourself! They, i.e. supervision can say what they want, push all they want but you are alone in that truck! Set a pace you're content with and don't deviate from it. Sure, give an honest days effort but don't let it drive you into the ground. Pay little attention to what Joe blow is doing, it only leads animosity for them, {hell maybe they're working the system smarter than you}. Old military say is useful here..."they can work me long, but they can't work me hard".
