I just received an application for Pyle Transport Services. I was just wondering if I could get some info. Is this a new division of Duie Pyle? I assume it is a truckload division run independently from the LTL side. I understand that a person working here is gone all week, home weekends. Is that acurate? How many miles a week does someone average? Are there a lot of grocery warehouse deliveries? Is there much NYC involved? Any imput would be appreciated.

i "checked" into this and found that "on average", you will be getting "up to" 2,200 miles per week. i was going to apply for this as they have a brand new fleet of mid-roof sleepers, but i might instead go with the linehaul division.

Yes the TL division is run separetly. They like to get the drivers back home as often as they can so there are a lot of sameday loads.

Driver turnover with Pyle Transport has only been 24% over the last 6 years. Seems like the drivers like the work.

It is not run 100% seperately. ADP will use Pyle Transport to run volumes and linehaul at times. They do treat their men very, very well.

All the equipment is brand spanking new. You may actually get a power unit that has never been used. Ownership has just purchased their 2007 and 2008 as well as 2009 power supply all at the end of last year to get a jump on the new engine regulations.

If you have any questions please feel free to PM me. As far as the territory that is covered you are looking at the northeast from Me-Md and as far west as Cleveland. If you are running TL they really try and keep running up and down the 95 corridor.

They can't keep drivers in those shiny new PTS units. The ones in West Chester have dust and inch deep on them. Why would anyone drive for PTS when you can make better money and be home more often driving for Pyle linehaul? As far as the company taking care of their drivers....2 yrs ago I would have agreed. Now, with our wonderfull new( new penn) president....I say bring on the union cards!!! Run like a union company without union representation.
