How should I deal with this TM who is cooking the books and adding bogus info to city drivers cards to inflate his numbers so Dothan thinks he is the 2nd coming ? This guy is one piece of work to deal with and in all my 21 years of AAA Cooper I have never seen this type of mgr. He takes supervisors off the dock and puts them out to deliver and pickup freight and adds their labor to regular driver cards to falsify the reprt to Dothan,..this has been going on for a while now.

He also will hold at least 5 or 6 city runs about 30 to 45 mins every morning and will not let the drivers clock on,..he told several supervisors that this will make sure they run hard and fast, so they can continue to get off at their normal times,..quite an incentive huh?,...

This TM is the craziest, unethical one i have ever seen land in Greenville SC terminal.

Any ideas,..an anonymous letter to one of the Doves perhaps to get some investigation going??

I can totally relate to this very type of TM.
Believe me he's not the first one who's done this.
I think there must be a mail order school to teach TM's how to stretch the truth.

The best way to deal with something like this.
Is first you've got to make very sure you have a lilly white record,of being an honest worker, with no blems what soever in your file.
If this is the case.
Feel free to go over his head and report him to your corporate higher-ups.
It would also be very good if you could get at least one more in your terminal to back you up.
The Bible states in the mouth of two,or three witnesses every word is established.

And also thers another verse in the old testement that states be sure your sin will find you out.

Now if I wasn't an Apostolic Born Again Christian, the only fear I have is of God who is interested in me being honest.

I'd be cutting my own throat with these comments,I went through this very thing close to 8 years ago at Overnite.
It was only the hand of God I wasn't terminated.
But it all turned out very well!

Apostolic, it also says in Leviticus, also echoed by Jesus, that "thou shalt not muzzle the ox that treadeth out the grain", that TM is a jerk.....

The Doves should be told .
Is there a number you can call ?
I think that the letter may work .

You could do what a couple drives did at Hogan. Write an anominise letter to the main office telling them in detail whats going on and ask that it be looked into. Make sure you dont include any info that will out yourself or life for you will become really complicated really fast! Our terminal manager was a real d_ _k, so we complained how he treated drivers and during their hidden investigation they found that he was pocketing safety bonuses that he was taking away from drivers! Bye, Bye out the door he went!

Yes I do believe theres a difference between rating someone out,and informing the powers on the top of the corporate food chain to look into any dishonest practices from any of your authority figures.

You can do what I did I contacted the human resourse dept,by phone, and started asking questions of should such, and such be done by any Overnite TM's?

They said they'd never heard of such a thing, and that they would look into it for me.

Well a few days later everything was on the straight, and narrow path, and I was never bothered with it again.

I'm an Apostolic,I know I'm going to make heaven my home, when I draw my last breath.

I don't lie for anybody,no not to keep my job,or even my life.
Its just not worth it.

Once you go along with even a very small lie, you'll never be able to stop.
If you do what they want, knowing its dishonest, anytime after that, it will be expected of you to do it over, and over again.

So as for me,I don't lie,or take part in any dishonesty, its not me,and never will be.

anyonmouse letters mean nothing it won't be looked at twice with out a name on it.i worked for act for 6 1/2 years once reid took over the whole company changes he is the biggest p.o.s. i have ever worked for.
if your center manager is altering your driver sheets you need to call osha or the dept of labor because it is against the law to change them.
when i was at cooper we worked 10 to 15 hour days and every time we went over 12 hours didn't pay us for them they put our hours down on a sheet of paper so if there was a day we only worked 8 hours they would add 4 to our work day.one of the drivers that worked with me had over a 100 hours banked and when they shut our center down guess who didn't get their 100 hours!

Some companies have a out sourced toll free number to make these kind of complaints so you can remain annonomus.

I'd say that dispatch is a piece of work too. how about holding p/u until late so he can push you ever harder. if they think we're under a shade tree then why don't they jump in the seat beside me..oh! that would mean they wouldn't get home b4 8....

If this guys is doing what you say he is doing, it WILL NOT be long before corporate or the higher ups find out about this. At the same time though, i would strongly encourage you to write an anonomous letter, phone call, and e mail stating what you have seen and heard. It would also be in you and your co workers best interest to COLLECTIVELY make the calls and write the letters. If there all multiple complaints this will definitely be looked in to. This will insure the final nail in this turd of a TM's coffin! Good Luck.

After being directed here by a coworker, I am delighted to read this thread,..I have no idea if it will make any difference down in Dothan, but I hope it does, I dont have as many years as this guy, and dont know who he is exactly, but I do agree with what he said. I do know that if this Terminal Mgr finds out about this thread and could identify the posters here he would fire them. He is indeed a piece of work like no other I have ever seen and I have been picking up and delivering freight for nearly 20 years all total.

My TM got after me twice about something I put on the truckingboards.
This was last year.

The first time one of my co-workers turned me in.
I never found out which one.

The second time my TM claimed he saw something on here his self.
But I think it was the same guy rating me out again.

I told him what I do on my time is my business, and I just go on the truckigboards for entertainment.
He says well I think your right its just entertainment.

He said he really wished I wouldn't go on here but he can't stop me,as long as I'm not cutting down my company,I'm safe to post what I want.

I can't believe he takes the time to read anything I write on here?
Maybe he does, but I still think soneone I work with likes to tell him what I post.

But no big deal,I'm in my 44th year driving for a living, and 21 years with my current company, theres just no way I'm getting the axe for posting on a trucking message board.

I assure you that if this guy could figure out any of his employees that posted on here they would have large targets on their backs immediately. I will clarify a point however,..I do not have the first gripe with AAA,..I am paid a decent wage and have good medical and decent equipment,..but local management is retaliatory and vindictive.

But, I do look for him to be eventually clued in on this board and then his witch hunt will start.

trucking boards does not give out you personal info so i wouldn't worry about it.

also if you are not on the clock and they fire you for posting there is a good chance you may never have to work again.

Contact someone at your company headquarters by phone anonymously and state what you found out. If he asks you to identify yourself ask him why and if he is going to protect you. If not then tell them you refuse to. Also, keep asking for the person at the top instead of mid level people. You also have some rights under the whistleblower act.

I don't worry about my company (saia) seeing what I post here. I don't have a problem telling them what I think. sometimes they take it and use it, sometimes they shoot it down for ninety days then use it.:1036316054:
