more and more leaving carterets terminal. many unhappy drivers. many veterans complaining how everything has changed. some veterens are even leaving. ive left. i had enough of 15 del and 8 pick ups for 17 bucks an hour. its a great place to work if your lazy and try and work slowly. then you get better treatment. if you work hard you just get screwed and abused. glad i dont have to help make them rich anymore

Thats what happens when your Preident and terminal manager come from New Penn and can dictate changes without any opposition. At least at New Penn we had the union and believe me Steve O and Bill T hated that with a passion.

How big is Pyle? How long have they been around? I'm from the west coast. Never heard of you guys. Sounds like a East coast carrier. Most of our Western states regional carriers have been swallowed up by larger carriers who expanded out west. Elvis out....

Pyle is a northeast regional carrier. They cover from Me to Md and go out as far as Cleveland, Oh. They partner up with SEFL in the south and Dayton in the mid west.

They are a service first carrier and compare very well with NPME as far as quality carriers go in the northeast.

They were actually the highest rated carrier in the whole country according to the latest Quest for Quality poll.

ADP is not having a problem with turnover, the turn over rate for drivers is less tha 4%. That is not including Pyle Transport which is more like 25%.

And Pyle Transport is a TL division and TL industry averages a 100% turnover year after year.

hey froggie how did you vote on the NMFA?

Frog the turn over rate is 7% at Pyle. And thats right from the horses mouth.

At a time when annual driver turnover in the trucking industry exceeds 100 percent, Pyle lost only 7 percent of its less-than-truckload drivers last year.

Employees are valued, layoffs are unheard-of | Philadelphia Inquirer | 04/21/2008

Pull your head from under his desk and you will see the person who said that.
Took you almost 3 months to answer. What a Dopie Opie. Sorry thats the persons name who fell off the face of the earth after Pyle banned posting on this site. But if he ever came back he would deny it. You probaly know him since he works with you. You know the type never wrong, knows everything..Ring any bells Frog

Back in 2007 when this thread was originally posted, the ADP turnover rate was less than 4%...I stand by that statement and challenge you to prove otherwise.

2008 is a different story.

There my record is still intact, never have been wrong.

At least never been proven wrong, especially by a dope like you.

Pyle lost only 7 percent of its less-than-truckload drivers last year. Since the story was printed in 2008, thats means that Steve O was talking about 2007. That would be correct MORON. So whos talking about 2008. Proven Wrong in so many ways again and again. Think i can't back up my facts....wrong. Right from the horse mouth, is that article enough to prove my point. Now if I said horses *** i would be speaking of you. What a freaking egotistical maniac!!

My statement was based on the 2006 company stats. It was also based on all employees, not just drivers.

So unless you have some internal numbers for 2006, you have proven you ignorance once again.

You consistency is your strong point.

Consistently wrong that is.

I just started with Pyle. There is 2 divisions.LTL and Regional truck load. The TL side i would guess is where the turnover has increased. You know how drivers are.Miles, miles ,miles.Kinda hard adjusting to running New England regional after going long.As long as the money is good,I can stay short.

You are always good for a laugh. D.O.. Ive proven my point. As you would say thats my story and I'm sticking to it...till i have to change it. Bye

After the news of the yearly wage increase more and more drivers are struggling to stay on board. Many aspects of Pyle are good and thats what keeps people but it is very hard for new (less than 2 years) drivers to afford to work at Pyle. They are just too far behind in wages and it takes too long to get to top scale. At least that what a few veterans and new guys were telling me.

This is absolutely correct. The starting wage is $ 17.75 and it takes to long to get to the top rates of $ 20.75. Over 2 years is required. Their pension plan, this is not the 401k plan, takes to long to get vested and the amount contributed by company is not worth working for. You can do better else where.
