woke up to this email this morning....

UPS WRONG IN KANSAS CITY

Soon the NLRB will announce that UPS was guilty of five charges in the
Kansas City election. This will cause another election at the UPS Freight
terminal in Kansas City . Hopefully UPS will run a fair campaign this time;
you can bet that the APWA will, as always, run a clean campaign.
The only question in this situation is how UPS will handle their choices
in this action. It is the APWA’s understanding that the UPS attorney has
recommended that the company take the short road. UPS has two choices;
first they could accept the terms the APWA has offered. If UPS accepts the
terms they will have to make a posting in their terminal stating the violations
they made for 60 days and then there would be an election 30 days after the
posting comes down. If UPS fails to accept this offer then the NLRB will take
UPS before an administrative law judge. It will take longer to get another
election this way but it will cost UPS thousands of dollars in attorney fees.
You can bet that UPS will again use Mike M**** in the next campaign.
Mike M**** has lied to you in the first election which in part is why we are
getting another election. Mr. M****stood before a forced audience in
Pittsburgh and just plain lied to these people when there was a poster in the
back of the same room that proved that he was lying. When a person will do
this, they lie for the sake of lying. In other words, people like this would
rather climb a telephone and tell a lie rather than to stand on the ground and
tell the truth. All freight people need to beware of what Mike M**** says.

I think they should get someone to proof read these statements. Climb a telephone....what? Pole? Or could it be possibly the HQ's for the APWA? Yes thats it, a phone booth. I guess it gets pretty loud when someone is on top of your office when you are on the phone. It must get pretty cramped with 2 disgruntled feeder drivers and a union busting, backstabbing lawyer in there. I guess I'd be pissed too!!! I wonder where they put the computer to send out emails? :hysterical:

These guy's must really hate their company. If Van and Danny hate this company so much, why don't they go to FedEx or something. I mean, why make yourself miserable day in and day out and come to work to the same place that you continually threat with charges.

If this no name,no reputation,union does manage to organize KC what are their proposals for a contract?

If they do get to bargain with UPS rep's. will it take them over a year to hammer out a better contract than INDY?

I mean to ask the big question where is this going if the APWA gets their way with KC than what?

Hey steve......I'm guessing because they don't want to give up all that Teamster contract provided pay, benefits and vacation that they enjoy.......but complain about!?! All without paying union dues.......wonder if they would mind if we join apwa and not pay any dues, like they are doing??? DS.

I would imagine that if the new contract passes, they will be out the door collecting their pension faster than you can say APWA. And you will never hear another word from them.

You think they would have had a broad vote in KC to begin with, that just goes to show the mantality of this wanna B union.

Not for me. The operate like a one legged man in an arse kicking contest.

LOL! Pretty desperate attempt considering they got their butts handed to them 3 to 1. Another vote will bring the same result.

Even if this no-name no-reputation union does manage to get enough votes at a handful of terminals,then what?

Do they have a plan in place,or is this just their way at getting back at the Teamsters union for some kind of revenge they may be looking for?

Well where do the HRS hub think they are going go with them being members of an unknown union.
And Reno,Indy,as well as most of the rest of the terminals waiting to sign on with the Teamsters.

So much for unity our company could very well end up being non-union, Teamster,and APWA.
A three way split is something thats headed for a dead end in my opinion.
