how many of pittohio term. have line haul drivers doing city work in the
morning after running your nightly run?
Is this mandatory at your term?

:1036316054:Driver, Anything That P.O. Tells You To Do Is Mandatory! You Guys Talk On These Boards Like You Have Rights And Contracts And Guidelines That Your Companies Have To Go By. Get It Trough Your Heads And The Sooner The Better..any...I Repeat, Any Non Union Driver Has Absolutely No Valid Form Of Protection, No Contracts, No Rights To Overtime Pay (unless Your Company Decides To Pay You O.t.) You Men Have No Seniority...not A Real Seniority List. (again, Some Companies Have 'seniority Lists' But None Are Valid. So To Answer Your Question About Road Drivers Performing City Work...until You Hard Working Loyal Drivers Get Organized And Vote Teamster, You Will Always Be Powerless. Not To Pick On Anyone, I Just Wish All Freight Drivers Would Step Forward For Themselves And Their Families And Hold These Companies To A Better Quality Of Life For The Men And Women Who Make Their Profits. Happy Holidays.

since you are not a PittOhio employee your reply isn't valid. As for the unions, well i won't go there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I could never understand how anyone would work for a company that does not offer OT after 40 hours at least. That federal law needs CHANGED NOW!!!!! Driving a truck is no joke and should be better compensated! After 8 is better though. But Pitt Ohio must be doing something right because the terminal I see allot of drivers from keeps long term drivers. I work for conway and we pay more and have OT after 8 and we lose probably 50-75% more drivers than PITT OHIO does. Don't you guys get OT after 2 years or something? After that do you get OT after 8 or 50 or 50 or 60?

yes city drivers get ot after 3 years. they go to top rate at the same time. the city used to get ot as soon as they stated but had a lower starting rate. line haul is per mile plus drop and hook money. some terms. use line haul for city work in the morning when we get in, but only get straight time no ot.

If I left conway and didn't go with a union I would come work for you guys. I've always heard at least decent things about you all.

If you go to work & do your dispatch complete a 8hr. shift you did your job. You can't be forced to do city work. Call Ron U & ask. You must work at Col. term. You want extra $ it is yours but they can't force you. As for driver Mike 57 he needs to pay weekly to have somebody represent him because he doesn't know how the laws work. Stand up for yourtself & say no. They can"t force you.

Pitt-Ohio Unions

Linehaul is not forced to do City, they are asked. And theres always 1 or 2 who wouldn't mind the extra bucks. Not Forced.

Unions, hmm, keep lazy *** people around forever. They protect you when its needed , which is great, but they will keep a whiny ***, lazy good for nothing around as well.

This forum is not the place to discuss unions or their membership. If you want to call folks names take it to the proper forum.
