This is where the monetary cuts should start. Period !!!!!!!!!!! Even CEOs think CEOs are overpaid?

Wed Dec 19, 9:40 AM ET

BOSTON (Reuters) - With many U.S. chief executives taking home millions of dollars in pay, it is no shock that average workers regards them as overpaid. But that attitude extends to the corner office as well.

Sixty-four percent of top executives view CEO compensation as excessive, according to survey released on Tuesday.

The poll of 1,572 readers of BNET.com, a business Web site, found that, overall, 77 percent of employees regarded CEOs as overpaid. The survey, of readers of the Web site, was conducted June 11 through 18. About 90 percent of respondents were from the United States.

Fifty percent of CEOs surveyed said their leadership style was effective, but only 38 percent of employees agreed.

I know this sounds far out, however, the pay is on the low end for the peer group.

Who gives a crap?!

I know this sounds far out, however, the pay is on the low end for the peer group.

I don't care what end it's on for whatever f'n group they're in. If I am asked to make SACRIFICES for the good of the company while "we" regroup and restructure, I expect our leaders to LEAD by example and be the first to take a pay cut! Not to continue to screw the driving force of this company while they pad their bank accounts!

exec pay

yea, i was thinkin the same thing. stotler is only at 1.3 million , thats chicken feed compared to ceo's of other companies. that has nothing to do with any of Con-way's problems.

Now... if we can get the Automotive Industry to do the same thing... Now we're talkin"
We dont need to be paying someone else's pension and bailing them out , they need to be held accountable for their own failure and rebuild and restructure... LIKE THE REST OF US! :1036316054:

Wasn't there a great leader that lead by example and said "Never ask your subordinates to do something you wouldn't do"?

Maybe it was all of them.....great leaders that is.

That somewhat corresponds with the Golden Rule; do unto others....and that fell by the wayside YEARS ago.
