I got a letter from the President and CEO of YRC North American Transportation, M. Smid. He states that voter turnout is low and we all need to vote yes if we want to have a job, my take any way. "Your vote is your voice on your future" he says in the letter. HOW DOES HE KNOW HOW WE ARE VOTING AND WE AS MEMBERS DON'T? I still say (and I may be wrong but) somethings wrong when everybody that has something to gain (them) is for this and everybody that has something to loose (us) aren't. I'll have more to say on this letter after I hear from others that have received and read this letter. What do you people think about this? I feel that YRC and the Union heads are worried that we are truely voting the way we should, NO. I can't wait to see plan B.

Ya, I got one too,It seems they mailed it a little late if they were trying to persuade our vote,I sent my ballot in a week ago.Wish I would have gotten it sooner. I may have voted the other way............LOL......

Hey Benny, since our jobs are in the toilet here in the south which way do I need to vote now? I'm sitting here looking at my ballot and can't decide.. Do I need to vote NO for the hell of it or just say F...it and throw it in the trash. Most of us if not all down here will be working nonunion since there is no teamster jobs. Benny it does'nt look good for us here...looks like they are trying to shut it down here in the south>>>AAAAHHH hell Benny, just made up my mind I just voted NOOOOOOOOOO...Have a good day.

The future will tell us what way we should have voted but everybody has to vote now, the way they think they should. I'm glad you voted which ever way that you decided, at least you voted. Right or wrong everybody needs to make up their mind and vote. I voted NO but that was my decision to make, I'll have to live with my stance for better or worse and so will everybody else. The ideals aren't what I have a problem with, its the lacking of language that worries me. But I've already stated my feelings many times so lets just wait and see what happens after February 8th.

Well you wont have to look to hard it's called
UNEMPLOYMENT.
Unemployment was GREAT after the IBT and RED STAR HAD A GREAT DEAL with YRC, I got to know my 2 yr old son better. WE all must remember that LIFE will ALWAYS go on no matter how WE vote. But remember the time of the partimer is going to KILL us ALL. If management couldn't live on parttime wages how do they think anyone else can. I HOPE THAT ALL THESE MANAGERS PUSHING THE PARTIMERS HAVE CHILDREN THAT WILL SOMEDAY HAVE TO SUPPORT THEM OR CAST THEM INTO A SUBSTANDARD SENIOR LIVING CENTER JUST FOR WHAT THEY ARE PUSHING THE FUTURE TO BE:biglaugh::hysterical::smilie_132:. VOTE NO 5 years is a long time to worry about the gray areas.

In Gaylord, we are an end of the line terminal. Things are very slow here also. In fact, the slowest that I have seen in my 13+ years here at Holland. My concern is that our management don't even seem to care that bill counts are in the toilet. They are not trying to change the downslide. It seems that they are fine with the bad numbers. I also voted NO based on the lack of details and protections that we expect and deserve. If this gets voted down and they clarify the language to protect us, they may be able to swing me the other way. But, I want to see it in writing! I have no problem with the utility driver plans, as long as we know what we are getting. PROTECTION!:smilie_132:
